Thanks for putting my mind at rest! I have been given bits and pieces from my sister such as a travel cot and a baby gate but I feel like we need more! My partner keeps saying that after Christmas we'll get organised but I feel so anxious all the time about getting things sorted.

Is this your first baby Catw0man? Any names picked out?

Alfalfa you are due the day before me. :j. I'm secretly hoping this one comes a day early as 31st march will be my nannas 96th b-day and it would be lovely. We've not found out the sex but I secretly think it's a boy. Ooh we could be of twins!!!! Although I already have one here....hello ema.

I'm not 24 weeks til Friday tho, are u counting that you are in your 24th week or have I got my dates wrong.

Don't worry about being disorganised, you will get there in the end. I have a feeling that we will be flying by the seat of our pants with this baby, but then we have everything we need (I think!).

DH has just found our baby name books will have a wee nosey through them. Don't feel ready to be picking names yet!

Is Ice lurking? Just wondered how you got on at the docs today and if you mentioned anything to him/her about movement?

Nic hope your feeling better hun, it must be pretty overwhelming for you just now, but it must be nice to see OH every night now

Ooh I don't know if I'm wrong then! I know that my second scan was on Nov 11 and it said I was exactly 20 weeks then so I've just been working it out from then. Am I doing it wrong? Think I'm suffering from baby brain!

My partners birthday is April 15th and my mam keeps saying that the baby will be late and will no doubt come on his birthday but that's over 2 weeks after my due date, they won't let me go that overdue will they?

Some places let you go 14 days overdue, and if you have a long labour then its possible

Re eating in labour..........

I really could not :eek: And mine was from first proper contraction 84 hours......but the hospital refused me any drugs til I ate some toast....took me half an hour to eat 3 bites, and I gagged badly :eek:

I had packed loads of food, unpacked it all when I got home :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've just checked and I agree with your counting.

Unless there's a clinical indication there's no reason why they should induce you before 14 days past your due date although I've heard that some trusts do it at 10. If you're induced then the baby isn't necessarily born that day - my SIL was induced and baby was born two days later.

Did you go home quite quickly? I hadn't taken any food for me but I scoffed all the food OH had brought for himself because the food was so rubbish and stingy.
