I didn't use any bump cream, drinks or massage or anything else with my 1st and I didn't get any stretch marks had a 90 minute labour and only had a tiny tear that they said I could choose to have a stitch or not (I declined!) I don't think it's possible to know if they work as you have no idea how things would have turned out if you didn't use them.
I'm definately not going to mention the massage thing even as a joke as DH would be up for anything like that
He said something bizarre yesterday it was something like "Hmmm you have a tiny little winky floating around inside you all the time":eek::o:oAKA: PC

ooo...me too me too. I'm a preggie veggie.
Not had much in the way of meat cravings so far, only fish and chips (not succumbed) and proper jelly sweets (I broke and have had oodles of these).
Not been called in for a GTT yet, despite them promising I had to have one because of my Dad being diabetic. Not going to complain at all. If I do get called for one they'll not be able to give me Lucozade as it contains caffeine which = migraine
Not sure if I could handle 2 blood tests in the space of 2 hours.
I might suggest a perenial massage to DH tonight and see how far he runs :rotfl:If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
Hi ladies
I am not a veggie. But I can't stomach meat at all right now. Tried a quarter pounder the other day and i've never gagged so much! It's odd, cos I want it - But as soon as I smell it and taste it, that's it!
Is today over yet? Such a long busy day!Beautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110 -

You cannot eat or drink from midnight the night before, except for black coffee (not great if you're pg) and water.
You get the first blood taken (drink plenty wear warm clothes) then they give you a sugary drink in a measured amount, and you have to wait 2 hours. Mine make you wait at the surgery but not all of them do.
Then after two hours you have the second blood taken. Job done and you can eat!! I'm going to ask them to take extra blood to test my iron levels while I'm there 'cos I'm veggie. HTHAny question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Ooh, quite a few veggies then.
Courgette, lamb's heart!! I think my biggest temptation will be Christmas dinner tbh. I can understand the jelly sweets, I've been eating fruit jellies like mad and I really want fruit bonbons, but I can't find them. not fancying savoury snacks really.
I mentioned the massage to Dh and he was pretty much :eek::eek:, but I'll try and give it a go anyway, tearing or episiotomy would be my worst nightmare. Actually even tearing wouldn't be as bad as the other. *shudders*
Oh and Dusty, I meant to say, we have light plum in our en-suite, I really like it. We have a mixture of chrome fittings and black accessories and aubergine towels. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -

Well done at getting something sorted out for your boiler situation Catwoman that must be a weight off your mind
I had words with HR this morning about when I was likely to get some confirmation in writing as it’s been a month since I handed my forms and letter applying for maternity leave in. I’ve been told that it looks as if the Headteacher has ‘mislaid’ them so I’ve had to fill them all in again *doh* Luckily I had kept copies so it wasn’t too arduous a task. So I’ve just been given my letter confirming my maternity leaves start on 12th February but as I have five days holiday to take beforehand my last working day will be Friday 4th February – 8 weeks on Friday
Thanks for all the messages about my boiler, I really feel so much better about that now
But did you have to mention that the 4th of Feb is only 8 weeks away - that's my 31st birthday, it's come round way to fast!0 -

Right, ladies, I need a bit of Christmas shopping help. A handbag for everyday, for a lady in her late 40s, to go with every outfit...
Any thoughts? I don't mind spending a bit as she is teaching DD1 piano, for free, and that is no mean task. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Great scan pic Chicky, sorry it's not the girl you were hoping for though.
19+1 today for me :j Scan on Monday: both looking forward to it, and terrifiedWill post on here with a piccie/news. We're hoping to find out whether we're expecting a boy or girl
Used my Clubcard Vouchers (the exchange where you get 4x the value) to get a cute teddy mobile and a set of 6 mixed blankets for baby in lemon and cream. Very pleased with both.
While I was looking around Tesco, I found a great Johnson's baby bath/bed time box with some products included. It's a good size box with a sorter, and top tray for smaller bits. I got shampoo, wipes, lotion, oil, top to toe wash, cotton buds, baby bath and baby powder included :j I am very pleased with it, and it will be great for storing baby bits in it. If anyone is interested it is called 'skin caring essentials'. I also bought some cute newborn socks.
We're going to have a look around at buggies and cots etc next weekend, so looking forward to that. Just hope all is OK at scan as getting very excited now.
Hope everyone is well  I am in lots of pain at the moment as I have a temp job in a supermarket that is aggravating an old shoulder injury, and also giving me a bad back and neck ache. Going to doc's tomorrow hopefully for more iron tablets, and will ask if I can take any sort of painkiller. I know paracetamol is OK, but not sure it will cut the mustard. Nurofen is normally my saviour with muscular aches and we pregnant ladies cannot take it. Argh.
The plus side is extra money for Xmas and baby fund0
