How are you now Sarah? I have developed a few minor problems since the op.
Sounds very similar to how I was, I lost so much weight whilst in hospital it was unreal, I was about 8 stone when I came out, I thought I looked great but my mum was said I looked gaunt! I was on a drip and morphine whilst in and I can't honestly remember about 1 week of my stay.
I had a few more flare ups in the year I was on the waiting list to have my gallbladder out and it meant that I had to have the full operation as liver had enlarged and gallbladder itself was in a bad way so I have a lovely 7inch scar across my right side.
I must say Tickle, not to worry it's not that common and I'm talking about something that happened 14 years ago and it was quite extreme. I think things have changed since then. I had been in 10 days before this episode and the hospital didn't look into it properly then, I was sent home with a flea in my ear and was told to look after myself better because it was just inflammation of the stomach due to "high living". I got rushed in by my dad and was almost sent home again with just Paracetamol because instead of checking me over the doctor said it was just period pains until I collapsed!
It's one of the reasons why I just won't go to that hospital if I can help it!
Princess - I have a few minor stomach aliments even after all this time but I don't know if they are connected with having my gallbladder out. Never really thought of it that way.
However, I do get funny liver function test results from time to time and I'm under the liver unit in Birmingham.Virtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -

I will be keeping up to date with all you amazing ladies and from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank each & everyone of you for being there :AIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Right, quick update - this cold I have is nasty! OH said my breathing was bad in the night and he was quite worried about it but my chest is not tight or I'm not coughing but I have almost completely lost my voice so I have cancelled my 2 appointments today. I was due to see MW but as I had appointment yesterday I didn't see the point so I'll go in a couple of weeks which will slot in between my next scan.
We haven't had a lot of snow here either but we never get much in Warwickshire usually anyway.
Tink - congratulations, Lily is gorgeous. Hope you both get well soon
Catch you lovely ladies later xxVirtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -
Hi everyone. Just wanted to post a picture of Juliet. She's so beautiful and really good. She hardly ever cries and last night (6 days old) slept for 5 hours, then fed for 15 mins and slept for another 4 hours.
I'm feeding her myself, even though I got off to a bad start. She was born at 4pm and I tried to feed her in the recovery room after the CS. She suckled a little, but mainly slept. She didn't wake again for a long time and at 11pm I asked the midwife if I should be worried that she hadn't fed. The midwife said I had to wake her and feed her. I tried to wake her and she just wanted to sleep. Obviously you can't force a baby to BF, so the midwife suggested I give her a bottle. I managed to force 40ml into her and she slept again for about 6 hours. I tried throughout the second day to BF and she suckled for a few minutes and then dozed off. That night again the MW said if she hadn't fed properly I should give her a bottle. I gave her 80ml. I continued to try to BF her and she was only suckling for a few minutes at a time.
When I got home I still really wanted to exclusively BF and Googled how much milk does a newborn need. To my horror I found that on the day of birth a baby only needs 7ml (on MW recommendation I gave her a bottle and forced 40ml into her!), on day 2 they only need 14ml (I gave her 80ml in a bottle). All because I was told by MW that I had to wake her and feed her. Since I have got home I have been BF exclusively and she feeds about every 4 hours for about 30 minutes and sleeps the rest of the time. She seems very happy and content.

This picture was taken when she was a few hours old. I will do my birth story soon.
Honestly, I have had all these same b/f experiences with DD1, its so unfair as it doesn't give you the best chance of success, but WELL DONE for sticking at it and she's beautiful.
tink blubbing at your post, she is gorgeous too and what a lovely thing to say thats shes always been there. Congratulations!
Well I'm off sick again and frankly fed up with it. Its harder trying to set coherent cover work than actually teaching the day. I've been up mostly since 2 am and I'm exhausted and fractious. DH who is normally brilliant sat around in the kitchen waiting for me to pack his lunch, until I pointed out that I'm ill and maybe he'd like to do it.
I feel really guilty and useless.
Going to bed I think. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Tink - what a beautiful little girl, I'm glad you're both on the road to recovery now
Lots of hugs to you both.
GFH - stupid husband. Give him a kick from me
Just had to frantically rearrange the kitchen as the boiler fixer person is coming this morning and we've just discovered there's meant to be quite a bit of space around the boiler - which there wasn't...My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Tink - omg how beautiful! I know how hard it is when you and bubs are poorly and need to be in hospital. It is a worrying time. But the time passes and you have your beautiful baby home safe and I'd imagine getting plenty of mummy cuddles. Well done! You must be so proud.
Nowt to report here.... counting down the days till the 20th until I can see flump again.

Oh I could do with losing a few stone so I wouldnt mind...but sucks to be happening whilst pregnant. They think its been aggravated by the fact I am pregnant, but just before my ultra sound they ruled out gallstones based on my blood test results so were very surprised when it turned out I did have a gall stone lol. Although I have worked out how to breathe and sway through the pain which I suppose stands me in good stead for labour lol.
Congrats CL and Tink! They are both goregous babies, well done!
OH and DD let me sleep for 12 hours, I feel more human today although my head is somewhat spaced out still lol. OH got sent home from work incase it snows (yay!) so I have sent him out with a shopping list to stock us up.
Anyway ramble over with, hugs to all who want them and labourvibes to those who need them

Awwww Tinks, congratulations. I'm sorry to hear about the complications. She looks well worth it
Woke up to more snow this morning. I used to love snow. Now I hate it. Probably got about 3 inches, so still not as bad as last years 6-7 inches. Getting into work was fine though. Last night was worse because the residential roads were ice rinks. Now the snow gives a bit of grip. And the main roads have been gritted much more than last year so they were fine. However colleagues have not managed to get in that live no further away than me. I find it frustrating as the boss made a point of saying people need to make good attempts to get into work, but some people aren't making as good a attempts as others. Where do you draw the line though?Baby Giz born 6/2/110
