The problem there is that we moved in May so they wont have any new contact details for me. Surely though they would have contacted me before May, if there had been any sort of problem? Who knows with these flipping companies

Did you redirect your post? They prob just want you to take out another card. Maybe give them your new address and tell them to put it in writing? Makes them think twice about being dumb.

Charlie, know what you mean about indecision on whether to find out, I was excited about it all the time but had a feeling on the day I'd change my mind.

Am glad I now know wriggle's a little boy, it makes it easy for me to visualise myself doing stuff with him after the birth, and I think I'm now quite excited about having a boy. Beforehand I had a feeling I wanted a girl, but am very happy with my blue bump. Did any of that make sense or is it just Pg ramble??

Teenie - don't worry about the bank, it could have just been them trying to sell you something. If mine ever call I won't tell them my details but say I could call them back, I usually ask whether it is urgent or whether its something that can wait. Gurr to having to be suspicious but with all the potential fraud I think its the only way!

Am all jealous of you lot being snowed in, although I'm sure its not as exciting as in my head :) the snow's not really worth bothering with here so hoping we have more for the weekend (altho not where you are MV so you can get to midwife!)

    Em xx
  • And how is stupidboss? Does he wear his pants over his trousers, BTW, like a super antihero??

    haha Grateful :D.

I didn't even get a reply to my email this morning! I have actually been logged on and working since about 8am this morning, as knobby-boss has decided to drop a load of work in my lap a week before I finish. Why he couldn't have asked me a week or so ago, I don't know.

The weather here is the worst it's been so far this week. Even OH couldn't get in to work.

    How are you feeling today?
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
  • Well I slept from about 9.30 until 1.30 ish so loads better, thanks. Still full of cold, but life has to go on, I've had enough of being sick!

Just getting the strength up to put the kettle on...

Staying in bed again today here! Baby has been extremely hyperactive since 10pm last night - I feel like a punch bag and have only had about 3 hours sleep.

well i made it into work this morning. Just.
Got let out at 2.15ish. Managed to get a taxi which proceeded to stop at the bottom of our big hill saying he couldnt make it. I then have had to walk a further 45 mins in about 2 foot of snow.
I feel like i am dying.
Oh and if this carries on i am so not going in tomorrow.

Well, daughter is 37 + 2 and yesterday they were n't sure if her waters had gone (but they had n't) but as she still has a racing heartbeat and is now classed as full term there is going to be a baby very soon. She has to phone the hospital tomorrow night at 8pm to see if there is a bed for her.... son in law has to take her up and leave her, they will give her a tablet and then 6 hours later another one, she seems to think baby will be born late on Saturday. I was going to be there to support her and son in law for the delivery as I think he found it too traumatic on his own last time seeing her in pain (baby was back to back)....but I have a feeling I may be needed elsewhere to look after my two grandsons instead.

Congratulations Tinks she's gorgeous, hope you're both recovering well.

    on team blue EA!!

Oooh! hope all goes well for your daughter Cherrydee xx:A

Snow is still bad here, not snowed much today but it's not thawed. Our taxis are charging time and a half, which I suppose is fair enough. I ventured out today to my aunts, took DD (3yrs) on sledge, it was ace, brought her back on it with my shopping! :D

    Evening Ladies.

Not just the happiest chappie at the moment so excuse the ranting!!!!

Snow has been deep here for a few days and yesterday DH couldn't get to work so he spent the day, and I mean the entire day, digging the snow out of our drive (we live on a farm) so that I could get out to work today and I turn up to work after a bit of a hairy drive and do I get any thanks whatsoever for turning up? No.

The guy who is the boss of the guys I work alongside was lovely and did question why on earth I was in but my boss, who only sees me for 2 days every 6 weeks due to my shift pattern, didn't even come in to see me and say hello or ask how I was doing. He's a total to55er!!!! Grrr.
Single man in his late 40s so no idea about having a pregnant woman in his dept and he has no clue how to manage people so goodness only knows how he got to the position he did. Does my head in totally!!!!!!!!!

I do wonder why I bother making the effort at times....... He doesn't even have the decency to acknowledge that when everyone else is being told to go home, (huge office - 2000+ folk) that due to the nature of my work, I have to stay. A simple thank you would be great but not forthcoming.

But only 35 shifts to do and I can start my maternity leave!!!! Can't come soon enough........

Goes off to lurk and sulk.....
