Well it's my first day off on maternity leave and I am now regretting leaving Friday past and not this Friday! I am so bored
Me and OH moved the living room about- to keep the moses basket away from the window and for room for the xmas tree, and the house is basically tidy just to keep on top of things. I have a letter to be signed for at the PO depot but i doubt i'll get my car up the drive so that can wait until tomorrow, maybe Wednesday. Had arranged for my baby shower to be held on Friday but my sister cant get off work so I've had to change it to Sunday instead.
On the pregnancy front i am fed up and bored ( did i mention that) I am in pain throughout the night everytime i move, i wake up plus i'm constantly at the toilet- that was my main reason for leaving work a week early as i wasnt getting much sleep, then shattered during the day!
The nursery is done and my bags are packed... just need an appearance to be made but I'll only be 37 weeks on Weds!
I'm just feeling sorry for myself, but just wish for this all to be over (as i'm sure we all do)
Labour vibes to all who need them and cuddles to anyone needing them alsoNow a mother to my beautiful daughter OliviaBorn 10th Dec 2010 weighing 7lb 1oz:A

What I did notice however, was a post in the 12 week thread (dunno who posted it, sorry I think BBM?) where to get the baby to move the sonographer advised to turn on tummy, then turn on back (360 move). The poster said that got the baby kicking and moving about. Just thinking maybe it's worth a shot?
I know if bubs goes quiet again i'm gonna be giving it a bash!
Hope it helps hun. I know how you feel. HUGS xx
Do you tend to feel the movements just at night?
I think I'll try that. have spoken to best friend on fb and she is friends with a midwife, she said that it could be the placenta, if bubs is getting bigger then obviously so is placenta so the feelings could be reduced."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -

It was pretty regular all the way up until last week. Almost every night I was feeling something or another. Then it just stopped. For a couple of days and it seemed the more I worried the worse it seemed.
I've got to admit, I didn't plan it this way - but what worked for me is sex. Perhaps I shouldn't try that again at stupid o'clock though as I didn't sleep for hours after as I was too busy enjoying bubs moving about a lot!:rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That sounds like me (not the sex bit LOL!). I was feeling movements every night after tea but not now."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
I'm not actually sure why I bothered coming back to let you know I was ok as no-one seems to be remotely bothered and I haven't even been acknowledged. So much for a caring inclusive bunch of women. You can remove me from the list I won't bother coming back to let you know anything else so there's no point in you waiting to hear of the birth of my baby.0

Welshlassie sorry you feel like that, you have not been ignored intentionally. Your post was acknowledged (4 people thanked you for it). I am sure you are aware at how fast this thread moves and I know when I am catching up I have every intention of saying things about other peoples posts but by the time you come round to replying I have forgotten what has been said.
I too have found in the past that people have failed to acknowledge my posts (and I'm sure I'm not teh only one) but you just have to keep sticking your oar in.:o"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Awww Welsh Lassie. I'm so sorry hun. I've got to say, I did skip past your post as initially I felt I didn't have anything to say/compare it to. I'm only 17 weeks here and a bit stuck in sick land at the moment. I can't even think about the latter part of pregnancy as i'm too busy trying to get through this middle part. I certainly didn't ignore you on purpose. I can't believe you only have 3 weeks left! The thought of having a baby just before Christmas would fill me with dread! So much to do!
But yes, to echo what teeny said... this thread moves so quickly! Some days i'm too busy at work and just go straight to the last page rather than catch up. I'm sorry you felt ignored. None of us would intentionally do that. I am glad you are ok (I don't think i've come across you before - apologies, i've not long been here) but I certainly wish you well with labour and your new bundle of joy. I hope you get mummy cuddles as soon as your due date and are home to enjoy the Christmas Season with your family.

Dont go welshlassie! Am sorry for not posting but with DD trying to kill laptop during the day and brain switching off when she goes to bed I find it hard to remember whos posted what by the time I get to the last post. I only post infrequently and sometimes even then I dont get a response, but as long as I get a thanks from someone I know that my post has been read and acknowledged.
Also I think they should have a hugs button, as i always want to send hugs but forget who I am sending hugs too... although to be honest everyone here deserves hugs.

I blame the BnB website, everyone was mentioning it on there and it made my impatience peak to the highest level :rotfl:
Oh this week?? How exciting?? I hope bubs gives you a good peek
We're thinking of going for a 3d/4d scan before Christmas. I think DH wants to double check we're having a girl before he gets the pink paint out :rotfl:0 -

Don't! I have woken DH up so often at 4 am for this purpose, he is starting to get a Pavlovian response, and I don't mean dribbling.
welshlassie I think your illness is making you overly sensitive, what tends to happen is the people who post most get acknowledged most as its easiest to follow their story, especially when we are posting with half a mind on it like me, often my mind is also on work or the children.
I meant to say...if you are on antidepressants, be aware of the effects on the baby when born. Nothing sinister, but I was on SSRIs with first preg, and a common effect that nobody *bothered* to mention is low blood sugar in baby. Would have been much better if the silly sods had warned me.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
