  • I'm not about for a few hours and look what you end up talking about!!!

    Welcome Garnet

Thanks for your good wishes, I have the most tiring day. Had to wait 3 hours to be seen, I was put on the trace machine for almost an hour and the baby moved 5 times in that time even after cold water.
Then I had to be seen by the doctor as I have been not 100% all week which included shortness of breath and because I have a blood clotting disorder I had to be checked for a blood clot on the lung, which is thankfully all clear.
They gave me a quick scan and baby is now head down with his bum under my right lung which is why I'm so breathless.
He is still not moving as he should but they have checked him over, me over and given me a scan so I feel a bit more reassured.

    Thanks for the kind thoughts

    Hello ladies

Thought I'd pop in and say hello, lots has happened in the last couple of months and I have missed so much on here. Still seeing some familiar names though which is nice. Can't believe my due date is less than a week away, although I'm working on 3 weeks to definitely have a baby (17 Dec).

My mood has finally stabilsed and I'm feeling much more positive, partly because the Gabapentin seems to be doing the trick and I have reduced my codeine intake from 210-250mg per day to 55-70mg per day. Still not ideal as I'll still need a peadiatrician present at the birth to check baby over and will need to stay in for around 48 hours for baby to be monitored for breathing problems, but at least I know now and it won't be a surprise at the time.

We finally have a short list of names, although its about 8 long, at least we've discussed it. Nursery still isn't completely sorted as it is currently filled with unwrapped Christmas presents, but we're not really going to be using it a huge amount as baby will be in with us for a while.

I've been having painful BH's for the last 3 afternoons and evenings on and off, which I haven't had at all up to now in this pregnancy, but did from quite early with DS. They haven't actually come to anything thankfully. I don't actually want baby to arrive until after 8 Dec as I so don't want to miss DS's first school nativity, especially as he is playing Santa and is so excited.

Appropriate vibes to those who need it.

Bless you Sarah - hope you are putting your feet up now and are feeling reassured. It is good to have an explanation x
