    Evening ladies,

Hope you are all well, another question from me tonight

Now I don't know if I'm over-reacting or not but I've noticed a real change in bubs movements since Thursday night, he is not thrashing about as much with huge kicks/somersaults but the movements are more gentle and slow and less frequent. I've counted them on several occasions and although they have gotten less, I'm still having around 10 kicks/movements in 15-20minutes when resting.
I've googled it (silly I know) and most say it's because there is getting less room or he's having a growth spurt, has anyone had this experience?

Heya, Im due same day as you and I have noticed Bubba's movements have got less but still as violent. For the previous 2 weeks it felt almost constant but for the last four days its not for as long periods of time. I think its settling into a pattern of sleep/awake time now. Hope that helps? How are you otherwise?:o

Sorry havn't been on again all week. Still mad busy trying to get my head around DH's new self employment plus coming to terms with my SPD :( Physio have told me to limit my walking to a minimum and when I chatted to my mum about it she said she had it with my little brother and it also came on near 30 weeks. By the time she was one week overdue they had to induce her as it was so bad. I'm in a bit of a panic to be honest. I also had a phone call from anti-natal asking if I could come in in a few weeks for another blood test as anti-bodies have shown up in my blood. is this to do with rhesus and anti-d?

Sorry I still have more venting.

DH has been in contact with his Dad for around 10months after them not speaking for over 6 years due to the bad divorce of his parents. DH told his Mum when he got back in touch and she went OTT with tears and saying how upsetting it was for her to know they were talking again so we left it at that and didn't tell her that DH was speaking/seeing his Dad regular. DH's Brother came around today and mentioned that their Dad's parents had rang their Mum to say DH's dad had told them DH had been made redundant then they pretty much hung up. Talk about !!!!!! stirring. I'm so annoyed at them all. I'm sure we wouldn't see DH's dad as much if i wasn't PG too and to be honest cant stand his dad or Grandad. they're both idiots that don't deserve my time but this whole thing has really upset DH. Any ideas on what to do here?

    Thanks

Sorry if i've missed any births but congrats if theres new arrivals

out of the four Sammy I much prefer the Dorothy Perkins one - am not keen on any of the ASOS ones I'm afraid.

I managed to bag myself this coat for £14 http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/maternity/26/2 as someone was selling theirs on another baby forum I go on. I was thinking of buying it anyway so was pleased I managed to get it that much cheaper - am undecided about whether it's warm enough though although warmer than the zip up top I have been wearing!

What about this one Sammy? http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/maternity/26/3 very similar to the DPs one but a little cheaper :)

I think coats is one of the hardest parts of maternity wear shopping :(

That's the one I wanted but couldn't find it on-line. I bought this one today for £25 tho so tempted to have both but think this one may go back if I can get the Next one - http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-jersey-jacket/s0007651/type-s/

I had a letter today about pregnant ladies being invited to the surgery for the swine flu / flu jab. Now I know they wouldnt invite you along to have it if its not safe too but I'm not sure. Has anyone else had it? Any opinions?

    Hope everyone is well.

I had mine 2 weeks ago, no side effects at all. In fact it actually seemed to get rid of the cold I had that had been hanging around for ages. I did notice peanut was a lot quieter for the next two days which scared the life out of me but it could have just been coincidence.

You're due a week after me - and I had this a week ago - he's more active again now. As long as you can still feel him move you're fine :)

Well, I'm in on my own tonight, had the option of going over to Liverpool with OH to see some of his friends but it was a choice between going to the shops with the wives or sitting in the pub with the husbands - my hip is still sore and obviously I can't drink so I've opted to stay here! Hope OH gets home ok now though as there's snow here and he won't be back till half 11 and has to get two trains.

Bought 3 cartons of prune juice today in Tesco for £2.30 - I'll probably need them after labour/C-Section so it's an investment!

Only two days work next week as it's OH's birthday and then my parents are here for the weekend, really looking forward to the time off :)

Thanks Edge & Lilian, sounds pretty normal at this stage then. Having said that he has just mooned me and had the most almighty fidget for about 5 minutes! He must know I'm talking about him! :) I have no doubt now that he is head down with his back to my front, little monkey!

Sorry you are suffering from your SPD too, my physio told me pretty much the same thing a few months ago. It was either rest and pace myself or find myself on crutches and having to have a c-section. Which is something I would like to avoid as it will have to be under GA as I am unable to have an epidural (I like to be awkward!) so I took the rest/pace option which was hard because I'm not the sort of person who can keep still for more than 5 minutes! It did mean being off sick from work but now I really don't regret it, it was the right decision for me in this pregnancy.

Looks like I'll be on the gas & air again this time, I'll make sure I have a paper bowl at the ready before I use it this time ;)

Really sorry to hear your DH is having a bad time with his family, hugs x

  • Hugs Edge Don't let your mum's experience with SPD scare you.....you could find that it doesn't get as bad as that although I know there are some of the others out there that can give you loads of advice if it does.......not sure what advice to give you regarding DHs family, just that you have your wee family there with your hubby and you can concentrate on it......let the parents get on with their stirring and winding each other up and if DH can still see his dad and this doesn't get in the way then happy days....I don't have any experience of this just of family feuds lol.....
