  • I couldnt get comfy in ours.....try them out by sitting in one cradling a sack of spuds for an hour lol. Just joking. I found it best to cosleep with DD on our sofa bed in the front room so OH could get his sleep and I could just BF and FF throughout the night as and when DD wanted without feeling guilty about OH not getting enough sleep. I mst say I was honestly jealous of my friends having 5lb babies as I really struggled to hold my 10lb darling whilst feeding.

Hope that was helpful..... although reading back just looks like pg ramble lol.

it's not a ramble at all lol......I have tried to persuade hubby to get rid of the bed in our front bedroom and get a sofa bed to give us room in there and also to give me somewhere to sit....I know bubs will be in with us for the first wee while but even for feeding if I can go into the other room it will be so much easier.....can't decide what to do and can't find anywhere I can go and try them out either :(

    Morning ladies :D

Well my little adventure on the stairs hasn't done any damage, bubs was making his/her presence known last night. Just a bit bruised on my arm so had a lucky escape! Just need to worry about the wall now :o DD said "oh Mummy you are bad, you've broken the wall"! poor wee toots seen it all and got such a fright too!!

Well it looks really beautiful here today and this snow is quite deep. I'm just hoping there are no road closures as we are supposed to be getting our new sofa today and we are going out for Mums birthday meal tonight and my 2 brothers are travelling through today.

I'm 19 weeks today :D If all goes to plan and bubs is in time (yeah right!) I could be holding my baby in 21 weeks :smileyhea I am getting really excited about it. I know it's still a bit off but by the time Xmas and all the festiviites are over it wont be that long!

Right need to get my bum into gear, volunteered to do Mums birthday cake and want to make a good job of it. I done the same one for DH's birthday a few years ago and it's easy enough and tastes fab (Nigella I love you!) so should be ok.

Quick question - does anyone have any recommendations for a good winter maternity coat? I am down to my last coat that fits and even that is a bit tight - DH laughed at me today. Although it is my bright red tie waist coat that makes me look a bit like Santa, which doesn't help with a bump!

So any recommendations for a nice thick coat, pref wool type, but not black or too dark as I don't want it to end up being a dog hair coat :)

I'm thinking to go look in Next although there are brand new ones from Red Herring on Ebay. I remember somebody posting on here that they were £40. Wool all the way for me as I don't do cold. I've also put my order in for a couple of pairs of knee high socks to go under my trousers.
I wore proper maternity clothes yesterday as bump too big now - hurrah! Felt amazing to be able to move without 1) pants falling down 2) producing builders bum! I wiggled and giggled around the office singing "I like to move it, move it.":T

Im 16wks today, 5 days until my scan :D

ILs have said they will pay for it as they recently gave sil £140 and they feel they owe it to us... We tried turning it down but knowing them they will probably phone the scan place and pay the bill behind my back :rotfl:

I'm only 5 days ahead of you but 23 days to mine. :)
My mum wants to pay for our pram but as it's the only major purchase we have, I'd like her to go halves with his mum. I know it's years since they paid for my sisters ones but I'm sure they were £200+ at the time. I think parents always want to contribute something if they can't. :)

I was 19 weeks yesterday so we are 1 day apart! I too fell over the weekend before last, down a hole! Bubs was OK, MW listened for heartbeat as I've not really felt the baby that much to know if it has stopped moving , if that makes sense!

I had a letter today about pregnant ladies being invited to the surgery for the swine flu / flu jab. Now I know they wouldnt invite you along to have it if its not safe too but I'm not sure. Has anyone else had it? Any opinions?

    Hope everyone is well.
    Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j
  • I had to flu jab, which now includes swine flu on the 10th November as I'd had a bad cold a few weeks before which had knocked me for six.
I didn't have any side effects whatsoever so for me, it was fine.

Coats, I got a long black one from mamas and papas which was 1/2 price. Lovely and warm even if not wool.....

    Afternoon ladies.
Had a long and emotional week this week, with 2 funerals.
Got another busy one to come as i'm organising my schools winter fair on friday and i'm far from ready for it...i think i've left everything to last minute as have had so much other stuff on. I know it will all come together tho :)

Re coats, I bought the grey wool one from next for £50. I couldn't find any in any stores, so just ordered from the directory online. It'll do fine til March and maternity coats seem to sell well on ebay after....look at me being mse :)

Re flu jab, i had it earlier this month, no side effects for me, although have a stinking cold at the moment.

Congrats on all the births, need to see some more pics..... Charlotte is beautiful Fuzz, well done.xx

Its 27 days until my 20wk scan on xmas eve :)

ILs gave us money last time for our pram, but i dont think they will this time. I dont expect it as i feel they gave given us to much anyway.

I might have a pot noodle soon, i love them at the moment :)
