The list is moving so fast!!
I've had a read back to yesterday and thanks so much for the concern and love. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Thank you. And sorry I've been awol - just been super busy this week and actually went out 2 nights in a row :D0 -
Sooo many posts since I last caught up properly. Appologies if I miss anything/anyone.
Thanks for the advice on diet. Since posting that I've gone completely off sweets. I took an opened packet out of my work bag yesterday and nearly threw up at the smell _pale_ So all sweets have now been donated to friends and DH double quick before I spew. Oh well, on the plus side, it'll help with my sugar intake.
Can't remember who was mentioning about work. I know how you feel. We've lost 4 staff members from my department in the past 18 months, we're about to lose another and there will be no replacements. When I go on leave, our stafing levels will have dropped by 60% in 2 and a half years. How they expect the remaining staff to do 3 people's work each I don't know.
Sickness and nausea has settled a little. I can now leave my bucket in another room on some days :j
I'm starting to feel a bit like a whale right now, although someone at work has still declared that I don't look very pregnant at all.
Time to go look after DH who has lurgy. If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
Fuzz- she is absolutetely gorgeous!
Would someone please change my date to 20th and put a girl sign next to it? I have done it twice but isn't there now for some reason?
I am definately getting a bump now as did a presentation today and the lady was asking about whether it was my first and hadn't even said i was pregnant.0 -

Quick question - does anyone have any recommendations for a good winter maternity coat? I am down to my last coat that fits and even that is a bit tight - DH laughed at me today. Although it is my bright red tie waist coat that makes me look a bit like Santa, which doesn't help with a bump!
So any recommendations for a nice thick coat, pref wool type, but not black or too dark as I don't want it to end up being a dog hair coat0 -

I've had two and have definitely got to have another one. Midwife confirmed it today.
They aren't too bad. Takes a while to feel normal again and for me personally (got back problems) the epidural was one of the most painful experiences of my life!
But once you're holding your baby it all seems worth it. Feel rubbish and quite granny like for a few weeks after (walked with a hunch for weeks I did!) but you plod on and make the most.I think I need to discuss the possibility with him and see if he would stay with me if the need arises.
Your comments help - apart from the epidural part lol. I don't want an epidural, especially after seeing what they actually do on One Born Every Minute.Hi Giz, had a proper phobia of ops. I dont like knifes, blades etc to the extent that I cant even shave (I wax instead!). Was so scared of having a c section. Did a hypnobirthing course and yoga to maximize my chances of natural birth. Anyway, problems occured in pregnancy and baby had to be delivered 32 weeks by emergency c section. It was totally fine. Really weired sensation when you cant feel your legs. Baby was whisked away to NICU and I told hubby to go with baby. So I was left on my own and felt comfortable. I'd happily have another c section.
xx
SA-when's your next doppler/growth scan appt? xx
And thanks Emsy for how your sections went.
Fuzz - so sorry your birth didn't go to plan and the disaster of the section (sadly doesn't help me fears). Charlotte is gorgeous though
Sammy - good to see you're alright. It's worrying when people disappearBaby Giz born 6/2/110 -
I find the whole idea of being awake while being cut into really terrifying. I also worry that OH won't stay with me as he is a complete wuss when it comes to blood/surgery. He can't even be in the same room when I get my bloods done
I think I need to discuss the possibility with him and see if he would stay with me if the need arises.
Me and my C section fears and all:
To be honest that really was my view of Csections. With DD at 36 weeks I was told I needed a Csection and I was so angry and upset for the 3 weeks 5 days to the date of the section as I felt that I had failed (yes I know they were pg hormonal thoughts but hey ho). But I knew that DD had to come out and that her safety was the most important thing. However I was still petrified, to the point where I broke down into tears on my waddle into the operating theatre, luckily OH was there to calm me down with the best line ever "I am so proud of you for the last 9 months and for going through this to make sure our child arrives safely." Which just made me blub more but in a happier way and less petrified. Originally I had wanted to be under GA for the operation but having spoken to a friend to had an emergency Csection I quickly changed my mind and decided that I wanted to see my baby as soon as she arrived in the world even if I wasnt able to have the natural birth I'd set my heart on. Infact I am now off to go write up the birth story if you want to take a butchers.
Right am off to go scoff haagen daaz! (£2.50 in sainsburys)

I have a query
I want to get a nursing chair for night time feeds so as I don't disturb hubby when he has to work the next day but I really can't decide which chair to get.....can any of you lovely ladies help me out with my decision pleaseeeeeeeeee???? xxxxxThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Giz - I've currently decided that if I need a CS I'm going to ask for a GA. I hate needles and even the thought of being cut into whilst awake makes me feel sick and faint. I know that it would traumatise me for a long time, and I'm worried that it could affect my ability to bond with Sproglet. I would rather be under and miss a short while of baby's life than be awake and not want to touch them. I'm even going to ask for the vit K to be given orally and for any injections for the little monster to be discussed with DH and done without my knowledge at the time. I'm happy to give my permission in advance, but if know about it at the time then there's a chance of me not being able to hold baby
I know that's not a positive statement like everyone elses, I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in your fears. If you really don't think you can manage a CS while awake let them know now so that they can be prepared for it. You can always change your mind on the day.
Off to bed for me, although not to sleep straight away as someone is currently having the fidgets.

I couldnt get comfy in ours.....try them out by sitting in one cradling a sack of spuds for an hour lol. Just joking. I found it best to cosleep with DD on our sofa bed in the front room so OH could get his sleep and I could just BF and FF throughout the night as and when DD wanted without feeling guilty about OH not getting enough sleep. I mst say I was honestly jealous of my friends having 5lb babies as I really struggled to hold my 10lb darling whilst feeding.
Hope that was helpful..... although reading back just looks like pg ramble lol.
