Hi Ladies, I have been absent of late, busy doing things IRL!

I have had my results back from the downs screening blood tests I had last week and they are low risk.

Can't wait for my 20 week scan next Tuesday now.

I'm going to a cancert tomorrow, hope the baby likes loud music!

Hope everyone is OK, labour vibes to those in need!

quick question to those in the know... I had a positioning scan today (private) at 39w and 3 days. Baby is measuring 6lb and I'm due on Monday. Obviously I may go over but at this weight am I looking at premie, newborn or 0-3 size clothes? I haven't got a clue!!

From someone who had a small baby I would go with newborn as you will get more wear out of them, unless you can get small baby on offer as it is unlikely you will get more than a few weeks wear out of them but newborn should last you maybe 6 to 8 weeks (depending on how quick baby grows)

    Thanks SA,
I'm so releived to say that all reading were better this time. Doppler was the main one that they were looking at after a dodgy reading last time, but all is ok and another check in 1 week. I've been prescribed baby aspirin too- were you prescribed this? Its a bit contreversial as its not without its risks (haemorrhage for me or baby) They're just going to try it for a week and see if readings improve further.
    xx

That's good news :j. I'm on 75mg aspirin as well as Clexane injections.
Apparently (but you'll have to ask) that you have to stop the aspirin 1 week before birth for it to leave your system, well, that's the plan I've been given from the haematologist.

Hi all. Just got checked and still 1cm. Was given 3rd pessary and told if not 3-4cm by morning I can either try again or have a section. If 3-4cm then will be taken to delivery suite to try to break my waters, then drip.

Sorry for all the drama, but it gets boring strapped to a monitor for the baby's heart rate for an hour and not allowed to get out of bed until 1 hour after pessary given.

I remember that experience well and I feel for you :(

Good luck whatever they decide to do.

They were actually stretching my cervix to break my waters, it hurt like you wouldn't believe, at least you won't have to go through that.

Hugs to you and remember you will have your baby tomorrow :D

    Katy x

If the 6lb is acurate you could get a couple of small/tiny/preemie outfits they will be a nice fit but will only last 2-4 weeks depending how quickly the baby gains weight newborn will be quite big but will last several weeks, and 0-3 will be huge. My DD was a little over 5lb (unexpectedly) and my mam had to dash out and get some preemie clothes, which are sized in lb rather than months, she started in size 3-5lb these lasted about 3 weeks then went into 5-7lb then newborn.

Goodness you must be so fed up, shame they can't use the drip to get you to 3cm then break your waters.
I had 2 pessaries over 24 hrs and little happened but after the drip went in I went like a rocket, 3cm to baby out in 90 mins (I went in with broken waters though).
If there's any way you can grab any sleep however little try to, incase things start to get moving later.

To be honest, at this point I'm so fed up I just want a section in the morning. I want it to be over with. Bambino is bound to be well enough cooked by now!
