Chakani I think I have a solution to this.
You tell your solicitor to make to vendor buy YOU a policy to cover you against getting sued by the council. If it's long enough since it was built they can't make you take it down.
But...no planning permission may mean other corners cut, so get surveyor to check it complies with all building regs.

Thanks, GFH, the problem is that there is a business involved, (the other half of the split property) so the four year rule doesn't apply - all being well, we would be planning on moving on in a few years when the children are bigger, and we would find it very difficult to sell on.. You are right about the dodgy seller cutting corners. Our solicitor has advised us in no uncertain terms to walk away from it0

Oh honey I'm so sorry then. What a bummer.
Someone did similar to me years ago with my first home, well it would have been. Awful when you have only one lot of legal and surveyors fees and they go on a bad one.

Hi, can I be added to the list please due 20th march 2011 team yellow thanks, hi fairyshazza I have been reading through your replies as I can see that you are due the same day as me it's nice seeing what people write about how they are doing especially with a first baby. I have a couple of questions if anyone can answer them.
1. does everyone go to antenatal classes or can you get the info they provide elsewhere as I don't think I will as I work shifts and not really a big group person
2. have been suffering the last couple of weeks with sciatica any suggestions on exercises or anything else I can do. I have been so lucky with no symptoms at all until this turned up!
would appreciate if anyone has time to answer thanks.0 -
Good luck for your scan today Dusty
How did you get on at your scan yesterday Ema_O? sorry if I missed an update at all.
Sarah sorry to hear your OH is being an **** I certainly wouldn’t stand for that kind of behaviour. As someone who suffers with self-confidence issues because of their weight I can totally understand how hurtful his comments must be – you don’t need that at any time let alone when you are growing another person inside of you
I meant to say I love your bump progression pictures Giz
Am feeling a little fed up at the moment. Bubs seems to have been really quiet the past two or three days, not much in the way of movement and my bump seems to have stopped growing. I don’t think it helped that a friend put a bump picture on FB and even though she is 6 weeks behind me her bump is about four or five times the size of mine which made me a little paranoid that mine is really small and that something has happened
I had been doing so well the past couple of weeks, feeling really positive but for some reason I’m just feeling a bit worried at the moment. Am not sleeping too well either (probably related to the worrying) so am always tired and fed up during the day at work.
Have put my first £20 onto an Asda gift card which I can keep adding to over the next few months, mentioned the idea to OH and he said he is going to do the same so that should help with additional costs when baby comes.
Am quite pleased that my Ebay auctions have brought me in a bit of extra cash – just hope that all the things get there safely and the buyers are happy, the last thing I need is moany people complaining to me.One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Went on the scales last night (I'm almost 23 weeks) and I have gained 17 lb :eek::eek: I am going to be enormous!:(AKA: PC

Hi fairyshazza, just letting you know I haven't much of a bump either if that's any help to you.0

Hey ladies and bumps, how is everyone??
Well, scan went well and we are team blue, wriggle was not at all shy, in fact the sonographer said straight away (after we said we wanted to find out "that looks like a willy", OH asked are you fairly sure and he said although they couldn't tell you for absolute sure, yes it is definitely a boy! OH is over the moon, blessEven saw baby's face up close and he was sucking his fingers, cuteness
We also looked at buggies (fairly sure we're having the Sola so not copying twinnie) and compared M&P furniture with Ikea furniture (big mistake, oops!). Overall a very long but nicely baby related day
Oh Chakani, what total gits, what a shame ((hugs)) Hope they never sell their stupid house. On a positive front, I know a few people who have had probs buying one house and all of them have found somewhere much better and been glad the first place didn't work out - not easy when you have spent all that money on it, but thank goodness your solicitor did find out. I would be tempted to do some sort of naming and shaming campaign (local paper, facebook) to make it very difficult for the estate agent and the vendor in future...
Could you get a cabin / high sleeper bed for DS? There are quite a few on ebay - that might give him a bit more space?
oxclairexo that made me laugh about your DH and the baby bonding, I think OH does that to me but baby is not co operating for him just yet.
Sarah lol about the man boobs, hopefully that will pop into his head every time he thinks about being a git. While my OH can be a git, anything is normally said in banter, so I banter back about his arm muscles not looking very big etc, usually shuts him up. Glad you are thinking of yourself and bubs first.
Dusty, good luck today with the scan, hope all goes well, am sure it will. Hope you get some good pics.
Fanta, not quite sure about drums, but I was bursting balloons (tidying up from a party) and I am sure I felt baby jump. If you have a number for the midwife give them a call and check, otherwise just wear loads of layers over bump to reduce the noise...
Nic, try not to worry too much, I'm sure you'll make lots of friends when you move and it sounds like your DD is a little socialite so will do well with friends where ever she is. If there are particular people she doesn't want to lose touch with could she stay in touch through email or something? Bad they haven't sorted the scan out yet - would it be worth trying to arrange it near your new house once you move? I reckon if you get along to the baby classes once you're there you're bound to meet loads of people too.
Hugs to everyone else (sorry mamoth post but working while I'm doing it so not had a chance to go through all the old pages propperly!)

Fairy, I'm due in 6 days and no one has guessed I'm pg. I have no bump at all, and no weight gain (MW is not concerned). Don't worry about it, everyone's different.

Morning Lady Bumps
So feeling totally freaked out about the fact that this Baby is going to be here on Thursday :eek::eek::eek::eek:
Had my last mointering session at the hospital yesterday and my last b12 injection with my gp this morning. Tomorrow I am booked in for an Hour at the hospital for all the pre- op checks etc........
It is the most surreal feeling ever to know that when I go in on Thursday morning my baby will be here :o
I am still more scared of coping afterwards but the ladies on here who have been there and done it have been amazing and I would like to say a huge thank you to them :AIf you can think it........it will happen0
