Oh come on! What powers a bicycle? A human being. And what emissions do human beings produce...? Oh yes, C02 and plenty of it when one is puffing along.
In fact, as a loose estimation, a cyclist will produce around 20g/km C02. So not totally green...
dont start that.that means i will pay more on a post curry Sunday morning than i pay on the V6!0 -

I have no respect for dishonest, double dealing, cheating, misleading conmen that are car traders and garage owners.
But I'm sure your a nice man.
Did you see what I did there.............
I do about 5000 miles a year on a variety of bikes, 20000 a year in my own cars and maybe another 5000 in firms cars. Both my cars are Swedish and have turbos, produce a pleasant amount of hp, struggle to get 26mpg and cost me a fortune in VED and fuel.
When you use the road then you mix with all of society, the good the bad and the ugly, taking a one sided, poorly informed view simply shows you are a poorly educated, bigoted and intolerant individual.
IMO of course, oh the irony.........
The motorist who ran me over by driving through a red light back in March plead guilty to Dangerous Driving last month in Crown Court, he will be sentenced on his next appearence. As a motorist I know that the majority are not like him.

This is an HGV. Cyclists would be well advised to steer clear, and not think it's a good idea to sneak up their nearside as they approach traffic lights, or junctions, or roundabouts.:T:T:T

I wish the cyclists in Oxford would actually use the cycle lanes along Botley Road, rather than ignore them and carry on along the road wobbling along with no lights on, in front of buses, lorries and cars. I also wish that they wouldn't shout at pedestrians who are crossing at a Green Man, because they don't want to stop at the red traffic lights.
I wish that the drivers in a rush would give me more than 2inches of passing space when I cycle, and would understand that I'm cycling down the right hand side of the lane because I'm signaling to turn right (much harder to do from the left of the lane)
I've done cycling, driving and walking, and the rudest people were usually the cyclists to me as a pedestrian. Often head down ignoring crossings, red lights, pedestrianised areas, dinging their bell for me to leap out of the way instantly. To where I'm not sure on some occasions, as it's a no cycling area by the canal lock.0 -

A coherent and intelligent response, which might be made useful if for the benefit of those of us without a crystal ball, you would expand upon it.0 -
I was driving behind a queue of traffic on a small A/B road at around 45mph whilst ascending a bendy hill. Fortunately we'd all kept a reasonable distance because the lead car had to perform an emergency stop, as did the rest of the tail.
Why? Well because some cyclist with no sense of self preservation other than a helmet and some skin tight shorts was wobbling around in the middle of the road at about 57mph below the speed limit.
The car at the head of the queue was clearly driving dangerously, and its driver does not deserve a licence.0 -

(My daily commute involves crossing a number of roads in central London - always at controlled crossings, and waiting for the green light. I have lost count of the number of near misses that I have had with cyclists who go through red lights.)
I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment.
May I take this opportunity to thank the meathead who was hit by a cyclist today on Shaftesbury Avenue. The cyclist (in his super lycra matching gear if that is relevant) was too lazy to unclip and stop. He hit said meathead who had the right to cross on a green man. Mr meathead flipped and promptly grabbed the guys bike and stamped on it several timesbefore walking off.
Mr Meathead. If the Police ask - I saw nothing. The man without a signature.0 -

I've just looked at those cycle lanes on Google Streetview. I wouldn't use them. They're thoughtless, dangerous, and entirely unsuitable for cyclists. I cycle along flat roads at between 15-25mph. There's no way I'd ever use a lane like that, ever.0
