Actually I'm the opposite, when overtaking I leave plenty of room, and if not possible I will slow down and hang back until safe to do so, I don't want to end up in court or worse.

In regards to my attention, I see this when I'm walking as it happens in my area a lot.

so in all your years you have never seen a cyclist stop at a junction?

The ones who've never seen a cyclist stop at a red light are the same ones who never see cars jumping red lights.

Because of course, drivers NEVER jump red lights ? A problem that seems to be getting worse all the time.

I have seen cars jump red lights, putting their foot down when it changes.

I don't think car drivers should drink and drive, drive without insurance or carelessly whilst riding over 18yr olds on their bikes so killing them.

I would not have thought that car drivers would do such a thing until I learned of it in a newspaper.

And it seems that car drivers whilst stoned on cannabis also kill cyclists but have difficulty remembering doing it and tell half truths to the Police.

It is now obvious to me that road users who pay road tax and are inconvenienced in any way by the actions of a cyclists, experienced or otherwise, should simply run them over, killing them if at all possible so ensuring that cyclist is not allowed to inconvenience any other road tax paying motorist again.

It seems even journalists believe cyclists should be killed, so there you have it motorists, bolt on the bull bars or string up the piano wire and from you comfy warm metal clad position you'll know your in the right.

Unless there's an ASL and you're purposely blocking the cyclist's route into it (via the mini-cycle lane).

I don't drive or park in cycle lanes..... My point was purely mean't for roads with no cycle lane and purely from a safety point of view.

Riding up the left hand side of a car which is turning left is the equivalent of driving up the left hand side of an articulated lorry which has moved right in order to turn left.... You just wouldn't do it.

and yet many motorists will come alongside you to turn left, rather than wait behind
Im sure they use the same argument
