Oooh, I'm getting road rage just thinking about it!
If you are stationary, then you arent turning left are you?
so by your reasoning,no bike should be moving on a cycle lane either then0 -

If I'm signalling to turn left a cyclist should NOT come up the side of me, even if I am stationary at traffic lights. It's a shame that there are moronic cyclists like that because they're the ones that give sensible cyclists the bad name.
It reminds me of that female cyclist that was killed because she pulled up alongside a lorry that was stationary signalling left at some traffic lights, he couldn't see her in his mirrors. They tried to blame the lorry driver when it clearly wasn't his fault.0 -

and theres plenty of moronic drivers out there. I see them every day n the car or on the bike0 -
Oh, I'm not saying there's not. But most drivers don't tend to do my pet hate!
It just makes me sooooo mad! They're putting themselves in danger and will try and blame the driver if they're injured! I know it's not all of them, but it's only the bad cyclists you remember!0 -

I totally agree with this one, i'm very much pro-cycling, but when your sat at a set of lights indicating left, they slip up on the left of you, the lights change green and they very slowly make their way forward, its exceptionally annoying because you have to sit there holding up the traffic while you wait for them to move. A careful cyclist would not do this, but the casual cyclist will.
This happened recently to me, i've never seen a cyclist move off so slowly! by the time id made my turn the lights were changing back to red and there was a long line of angry faces just waiting to take a pop at captain slow.
However the solution is to hug the kerb if you recently passed a cyclist prior to the lights, don't give them the option of coming along side.....
Cycle craft teaches cyclists to move into the "primary position" if the road is too narrow for cars to pass safely, effectively blocking a driver from making a dangerous pass.... Hugging the kerb to prevent the above is no different.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Unless there's an ASL and you're purposely blocking the cyclist's route into it (via the mini-cycle lane).
I agree though - undertaking a vehicle signalling left is sheer stupidity. TfL are taking a very proactive stance on this, which I think is good. On all their rental bikes, they have a diagram showing it and telling you not to do it.

well given your level of attention,no doubt you are one of the drivers cutting up cyclists
Actually I'm the opposite, when overtaking I leave plenty of room, and if not possible I will slow down and hang back until safe to do so, I don't want to end up in court or worse.
In regards to my attention, I see this when I'm walking as it happens in my area a lot.0
