Staples have been really good to me.

I think that you will find that the OP is telling the truth.
I used to work for Staples and did so for several years. Like M&S, they always had (and I'm sure they still do) the moto that 'the customer is always right' and would bend over backwards in resolving customer complaints. I know of many instances where Staples have given our freebies and generous offers of courtesy vouchers, when a customer has complained about a product or the service provided by the company. As well as the OP, I also see MSE user SMCAUL has commented within this forum thread on Staples generous offer after a product problem.
I am surprised that Staples do not promote their customer service more as I'm sure they could take away business from less customer-focused companies like PCWorld, Currys, Comet; although I appreciate that they are not like-for-like competitors with Staples.
Congrats to the OP in getting a good result.0 -
You joined in Sept and you've not contributed to any thread other than the 7 posts you made, each time in defense of Sirmarcus here. I smell a rat.
Now SM may or may not be telling the truth, but I find it rather puzzling why he covered up the date on those vouchers and the fact that one has suddenly been signed or the fact that he's got them at all proves nothing.0 -

I think that you need to get your sense of smell tested !!
Please do proper research before posting rubbish.
Have a look at my seven posts and you wll see that :
- 3 of my posts are in a thread titled 'What are my consumer rights with a company based in Guernsey ?'. No contribution in this thread from Sirmarcus.
- 1 post in a thread titled 'Work related Stress' to advise MSE users 'Broadstone, dmg24 and Googlewhacker......Do us; in particular the OP, all a favour and stop contributing to this thread as you are not not adding any value now.' Sirmarcus was not the OP and how was this a defence of him ?
- 2 posts in a thread titled 'For info and advise on PCWorld'. Agreed that Sirmarcus was OP but no defence of him....Just diagreeing with other users.
- 1 post in this thread, which does not warrant further comment.
Please refrain from making silly comments in future without doing proper research beforehand.
I stand by comments in my previous posting. If you don't like them, tough !! I really don't care but I stand by them.:D:):D0 -
I bet that you believe me now !! Even if you don't, I will not care....I am laughing all the way to the bank.
I now just need to work out what I am going to use the £50 vouchers for ? I think that I may wait for the Sales after Xmas to see if I can pick up an offer on a PC chair. I should be able to get an absolute bargain !!
By the way, did you notice that one of my Courtesy vouchers hadn't been signed ? I will be popping into Staples this weekend to get this corrected. After all, I don't want to create any probs and also make sure that everything goes smoothly.
Laughing all the way to the bank !!:D:D:rotfl::rotfl:
You just can't beat escalating and getting results !!:):)
(P.S. I reckon that I can fix the £8-00 USB hub and then sell it on ebay.:D:):xmassign:. Happy Xmas !!)
If not dishonest certainly immoral and speaks volumes about Sir Marcus"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

sirmarcus is a liar! How difficult is is to post a pic. on MSE the right way up BTW!0

Ain't all of this great at MSE; especially on the Consumer Rights forum ? People seem so very unpleasant on a lot of the postings on this forum; including this thread.
I am a 2nd year student at Kent University. Currently waiting to go to to a AfroCarib Party at Darwin College. Should be fun and can't wait for it to start. One of my friends already posts on MSE and gave me the details so that I can. Just finished watching Strictly Come Dancing with Anne Widdecombe. Great entertainment !!
Here is my first post. As a student that is trying to save money and paying expensive Uni fees, I am not bothered if I upset people or not.
Anyway here is my 1st post....If not dishonest certainly immoral and speaks volumes about Sir Marcus
How can he be immoral and dishonest, when he reported and presented the faulty USB hub to the Staples store that sold it to him ? If they couldn't be bothered to look at if or fix it, I don't see what this person has done wrong !! Good luck to him for taking the initiative by fixing it himself and selling the item on ebay !!
Your argument doesn't stand up to scrutiny, is illogical and shows that you are a moron/idiot !!0 -

Also how does posting a pic the wrong way up make him a liar ? For info, you can get software to turn it 180 degrees if you are having trouble reading it. You can also get glasses if you need help reading !!
I really think that you need to see a physchriast !!0 -
