Thanks, just wanted to check if your breast feeding? It's just that fluoxetine is great as an antidepressant (better know as Prozac) but it should be avoided in breastfeeding as it is present in breast milk. I'm sure your dr will of checked this but it can't help to mention it! Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which means it helps to stop your serotonin (the chemical in your brain that affects your mood) being reabsorbed, making more available helping you to feel better and your mood to be lifted. Anyway better get back to work now as I'm supposed to be doing some! I'll keep checking in though, hope you are feeling better soon! LGxxJust trying to be me.....0

Nope not breastfeeding, I'd probably have gone insane by now if I was!
The important question is... can I drink alcohol with them  ???? Had a glass of wine last night without thinking but didn't have any problems....Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Walking is great for depression, it really does help lift your mood. Even better when the weather is nice too! Try and get out for a walk if you can, and take one day at a time, you WILL feel better soon.
I say soon, it took me over 7 years (with depression) and I had agoraphobia too. So I didn't do ANY walking. But now I'm recovering, and I love walking, and I feel fitter too.0 -

Yes, what I usually advise patients is that fluoxetine won't interact with alcohol as such but you may feel slighlty more sedated, so its a case of trial and error and being sensible. So have a small glass of your usual tipple, (you already did last night!!!) and see how you go. Everything in moderation as they say. Fluoxetine is not known to be sedating and much less so than older type AD so as long as you felt ok then its fine. There are drugs which interact with alcohol to cause reactions but the one your on won't! So drink away (just kidding!):beer:Just trying to be me.....0 -

I want to sign up for the Race for Life again this year. i did it last year and raised nearly £400. I do it for my mum as she died from lung cancer. Just need to sign up! A bit nervous though as I found out I was pregnant 2 days before last years and don't want to tempt fate again!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

£400 is a brilliant total by the way - if you decide to go for it, I would be happy to sponsor you (can you sponsor people online for race for life?)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
