Front and rear tyres should be the same.
Post up what car it is, steel or alloy wheels, and what it says on them, such at 175/50R13 or 195/60R15 etc, front and rear.

Mercedes C200k - alloy wheels - not going out to check tyre sizes cos it's dark. It has a sports pack if that makes any difference to the wheels?

Ask Geoff, you claim to work there.
    But maybe not after all.

Have you just come back from the pub?

I take it you know that when he joined you had to work on day work before you got on 999 work, that bloke was therefore originally emplyed, 25 years ago, as an Ambulance Driver, the grade hasn't been used for at least 15 years, and was only ever used in PTS.

And no I wouldn't know him as he hasn't worked on the road in a decade.

You and andy are the ones having a go, and when it is dished out I dish it right back.

Thias last post of yours confirms what I always suspected, you are a "google warrier". Probably because youhave little or no life experience and all your opinions are based around searching Google.

However when somebody that actually has some knowledge on a subject it puts your "Google nose" out of joint and you resort to personal attacks and the kind of posts that you have made in this thread, though if i could be bothered I am sure I could check your other posts and find similar posts elsewhere.

    Google?
You're the one that said you'd never heard the term, one minute you'd been there years, next you're a new recruit, one minute you're a paramedic rushing to accidents in your diesel zafira, next your boss of the mechanics?
    Make up your mind.

I strongly suggest you Google "sarcasm", though to understand when somebody is being sarcastic, such as when you infer that a highly trained registered health care professional is a driver.

However you probably Googled my comment and didn't know what to reply.

Please write your posts down and make sure they make sense before posting, and believe it or not you can do more than one career during your life, you will find this out when you leave school and enter the adult world, and that when you do a second or third career you still retain all the knowledge and experience of those previous careers.

Though please point out where I have to give any more than the absolute minimum of personal information on an open forum, if you don't want to benefit from the knowledge and experience of those in a position to offer said advice, then stop trying to annoy those that offer advice in good faith.

There seems to be people on this forum that get really narked if somebody who actually knows something post, as then the Google massive can't pretend to be knowledgeable.

Actually after looking at your post it seems strange that you seem to think i have said I am a new recruit, where exactly did I say that, seriously, stop the self abuse it is really affecting your sanity.

And stop trying to take peoples posts out of context in an attempt to divert attention from your obvious shortfalls.

My C Class Kompressor wore the same size front and back... 205/55/16s... Pilots or BF Goodrich Profilers every time...

You can get Toyo Proxes in 205/55/16 fairly cheap, last two I bought early this year where under £70 each, fitted and balanced at Elite in Rainham.

Pilots are almost certainly a better tyre but in that size they are almost £130 even in Costco.
  • Ooohhh another thread ends up being all emotional....:D

Didn't it start off about Micra tyres and then we went into the merits of understeer oversteer and bit of calcius regarding traction and wear ratios etc etc...... Fantastic all good fun and entertaining.

    Have a word chaps.....;)

Sadly flying high some people feel the need to have a pop at those in a position to know better, with pedantic posts with little or no value.

Almost as if they got turned down by the Ambulance service and are all bitter and twisted.
  • Just priced Pilot HPs in that same size for a Vectra SRI I currently have.... Just under £80fitted... I cant remember what I paid when I had the Merc. The Goodrich in the same size were around the £65mark but this is going back a couple of years.

I've had a look at the Toyos... I'm a big Mich and Goodrich fan but am always open to trying different brands... Theres a Khumo I've read good things about on a Merc forum... KH31 HM... Probably end up with Pilots and I cant find anywhere online listing the Goodrich profilers in a 205/55/16

    Cant say I've Noticed:D

What tickles me is when they dig the hole deeper and deeper:rotfl:
