Well done on the blood donation, i haven't been able to do so for years either.
I will try again when the next lot comes round.

yep it is spring equinox ... the lighter nights are coming yay ...
Unfortunately the nights will remain dark. It's all part of the definition of "night" i.e. It's dark...I don't watch the needles go in, and I have a fairly high pain threshold so they don't bother me too much, but today's really did hurt for some reason, although having just taken the dressing off, it doesn't seem to have bruised, so it must just have been me!
Some people are a lot better with needles than others. Some stick it in, then start fishing for the bloodvessel with the point - you know at that point it's gonna be a bad 'un..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I have a sensitive vagus nerve so my body doesn't like sudden shocks such as drops in blood pressure. I give blood no problem, having a good look to make sure it looks ok, then get to the tea queue. I have time to say 'excuse me can you hold my cup, I'm going to faint' then keel over
. I have a very common blood group so have been told 'thank you but you're more trouble than it's worth' :rotfl:. So I have to buy my own biccies

I'll sneak some biccies out for you next time I go, gally.....
Last day today before payday - there is £3.60 in the current account, and all direct debits paid, with some cash remaining in my purse, so I consider that a great success. In addition, I have some money that has been put away as "proper" savings, so I am very pleased. :money:

Well done on having money left before payday. And savings too! If I have change in my purse on pay day I chuck it in a jar, and any notes go in a 'treat' purse. Hi Hypno,
Thank for posting on my diary last night. Had a v quick scan through a couple of your diaries last night. Wow, quite a journey. I've only posted my CC debts as they are what we need to clear so that we will have some of our income left to save in the future. Desperate to break the 'oh another one off big spend... shove it on the card for now attitude'.

Hi keggie!! Thanks for popping by - yes it has indeed been a journey.....pretty difficult at times, anger inducing, frustrating, exhausting, and of course including the breakdown of my marriage which, although not entirely related to the debt situation, can't have been helped by it all.
But do I regret it? No! Because now I have a fantastic appreciation of the things I have now! I appreciate the smallest things rather than take them for granted, and I have learned a huge amount about myself along the way.

ZTD - love your sense of humour
Hypno - well done on the bloods. You really are an inspiration to me. I cant wait for the day when I can say I have no credit cards and I have savings. For me (I know only a small thing) but this month I have not gone overdrawn and that has not happened for about 8 years and its an amazing feeling.
Weather is fab here again today - roll on summer!
Have a good day everyone0 -
