Just an update, of sorts, to say that it's five weeks since I wrote to them and I haven't received a reply. Either they're tying themselves up in knots trying to come up with answers to my points or - far more likely - they sense they're wasting their time with me and have decided it's not worth the fight.

Shame, really, I was looking forward to them attempting to defend the indefensible.
  • Oh well, spread the word about these Mickey Mouse parking 'fines'. Word is spreading fast and you can get your revenge.

    Hi all.
DJ Dave how did you get one with your request ? I too requested the same if you mentioned above...
(((a) to confirm who was driving, (b) confirm their authority to act on behalf of the landowner, (c) to confirm whether or not the warden checked for a blue badge, (d) the landowner's policy for conforming to the Disability Discrimination Act, (e) to provide a copy of any contract between the driver and the landowner along with evidence it was knowingly and lawfully agreed, (f) to justify their £60/£90 charges under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations, and (g) to justify the tone of their ticket and letter under the Administration of Justice Act.)[SIZE="4"

I replied requesting the details suggested above with no response since November 2010.

Now I just got this request from debt collectors for £150 to pay within 14 days 'or they will refer the matter onto our solicitors to review your case for potential legal action'
    - March 2011

The request from 'debt collector' (ROXBURGE DEBT COLLECTORS) requesting £150.00 from UK Parking Patrol Office for 'parking charge notice' from October 2011!
    Anyone have any advice please?

Yes the advice is still ignore, roxburghe and next Graham White who will write are the same company, none of them have ever done court! So why concern yourself ?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    very helpful
are you 100% sure they I cant be pursued for this and face silly charges?
have you had this experience already?
    thanks :)
  • You are taking them far too seriously. Ignore them and they will go away. All the regular posters on here have done it with no consequences whatsoever.

Nothing in life is 100% except death and taxes ;)

But roxburghe & graham white have never done court in the past and it's highly unlikely in future, and even if they did it's even more unlikely that they would win, to put into context for you, a lot of PPCs quote a Thomas case to get people to pay, this was more than 3 years ago, after more than 3 million invoices issued since, they collectively taken a handful of cases further, why is that ?

Well the reason is because they would stand little to no chance of winning, they look to mugs to pay, please don't be one of them.

I was parked on private land for literally a couple of minutes picking somebody up
Why do you think this is OK ? Just wondering, as I occasionally get people parking on my private land, when challenged they are invariably only going to be a couple of minutes.

When I offer to rent them my land or even sell it to them they seem to think "I have a problem" which of course I do.
What would you do if on your return home you found someone parked on your drive for a couple of minutes ?
