I love this idea but we are thinking of doing it with a yoohoo elve ds got in his stocking last year. Ds is very into his toys having a personality ect so he would love if Santas little helper started to do other things as well. Maybe we could make him dissapear just before we start and return with his passport and a list or something. Also as a childminder the children will love it.0

we have all the other "buddies" but our box set didnt have the santa buddies in it.
i have just randomly typed xmas dvd, christmas dvd, elf dvd, and kids xmas etc into ebay and found loads, some of those on list are the free 1s from paper but aat 25-50p each i dont mind. none have cost more than £2.50 and some are brand new. thought would add as may give others ideas.
we did have tweenies and tellytubbies and fimbles xmas but none of my boys watched them so i got rid of them!

if anyone is planning on making the elves a school i have found the most adorabal neck ties (dog ties/clothes) and mini book bags under doll accessories on ebay. this is a definate on my list.
(it seems like these elves are costing me a fortune......probably cos they are!!! - army dog coats so they can be soldiers in the fort in garden, school bits, dvds, mini cake cases (reduced to 76p in morrisons), books, 2 new "baby elves", a 4th elf, craft bits.......the list goes on.due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

hi and welcome back.x
not started a new thread for this year as there is sooooo much info on here. i have bought quite a few craft bits cheaply as and when i have seen them, and they are all in a box.
heres some thoughts for you -
*do your children have any new toys from last time the elve(S) came to visit? my boys have an army fort in the garden and the elves are going to wear "army dog coats" and play at soldiers for the night.
*i plan on making a school - ebay are selling "dog neck ties" and doll size book bags, just got to get some mini notebooks or something.
*we also now have a rocking horse, so i'm thinking that they may try and teach it to fly.....dog biscuits and instructions....
*i also plan on (getting my nan to make) some mini cupcakes (half size of normal cakes) but elf size. morrisons have the cake cases/papers reduced to 76p a pack instead of £1.40.
*make a list of all the things you have done in the past, and mark any that you can redo without too many questions - dvd night, decorating tree etc. then work out what you have in house/garden/garage etc that they could cause mischief with - IF you have a garage or driveway you could get away with adding reindeer antlers and nose to car - i would love to do this but at present our car is in shared parking and they would probably be stolen!
there are loads of ideas on berties website, some are my own, others copied from various websites. i have actually started to make a notebook with ideas and pictures that i have found on the net - if you have the time to trawl blogs and elf mischief and elf magic etc there are loads!!!
can i be really cheeky and ask you to get me 3 torches if isend you the money via paypal etc? they sound adorable.
