One of our summer holiday jobs yesterday was to write to our elf Percy and say hello and tell him how much we wanted him to come and stay again this year.
DD1 loved writing him a letter and left it on the dining table last night.
We came down this morning to find it gone but with another letter in it's place and lots of snow glitter everywhere - Naughty Percy!
Was lovely though and showed that the magic of the Christmas Elf is well and truly aliv & kicking in my house!0 -
Thought this may be of some use to somebody - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3849828/Trail/searchtext%3EBUILD+A+BEAR.htm
Figured the elves could dress as an Angel and sit on the top of the Christmas tree awaiting the kids home? Sorry am new to this so dont know if a good idea?
I still havent bought my elves yet so dont know if it will be of use to me!:xmassmile**New** Thrifty Gifty Money Making for Christmas and all occasions 2012**:xmassmileMember No. 11 of Happy Chappy's Clip Strip Club!

they are great IF you have a big enough elf (15-17 inch) as they fit teddy bears. my main elf is only 8" tall! just after xmas argos had a lovely red santa dress and shoes on offer, i got 1 but was too big.
the elves can do as much or as little as you wish/can think of, so yes sitting on the tree could work, wouldnt in my house as we always have a star at top so my kids probably wouldnt fully understand the angel.due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

hi,
can you have them set up a teddy bears/dolls picnic (convinently with real cakes etc) and a letter saying santa has said they can visit for a few days holiday.
do you have a sandpit? if so can you move it indoors (or cover with a gazebo etc? have the elves playing in it/sat in a deck chair by paddling pool
there are loads of craft kits in wilkinsons/poundland etc, if they are old enough to try simple sewing on plastic canvas have the elves bring them and have started them.
plaited friendship bracelets???
as you have girls what about anything flowery?
depending on your sewing skills/size of elves could you make or buy t-shirts for them to decorate and wear and leave kid size tshirts and fabric pens for kids to make own?
if i think of anything else i will let u no.due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

Ooh think I have an elf! Well he will be! Went into Home Bargains and they had Russ Dolls dressed up as a Dr but the jackets zips off and I have cut the nurse hat off too, i know a nurse hat and dr jacket? strange, anyways if I can get some sort of red/ green jackect and possible a hat he will make do for a good elf I think! Only cost 1.99 too! Need to fine his outfit now though!:xmassmile**New** Thrifty Gifty Money Making for Christmas and all occasions 2012**:xmassmileMember No. 11 of Happy Chappy's Clip Strip Club!
