we have just soft stuffed elves and they get handled all the time.
at this point it's really my dd (16) hiding them from me so they can't get into mischief... hahahahahaha silly girl.
I call it "reverse elfing" and I usually find them and then.... well as they say, "payback is hell"
They are actually going to show up for the first day of school with coffee for the family and the powdered white donuts and naturally some mischief will have happened, I'm thinking the school books will be wrapped in holiday paper.
dd will NOT be amused, but I will be.

for those looking for elf (doll) patterns there are several cute doll patterns on martha stewart's website. both look pretty easy, one is a doll made out of a glove for example.

sorry for so many questions, this year will be my first year of having elves:T
Our Elf sits on the sideboard and 'observes' unless he has gone off to get upto mischief. Last year he had a sleigh that he slept in under the Christmas tree at night, although sometimes he would sneak upstairs and get into bed with one of my DD's!
I have just spent the last few days buying loads of childrens Christmas DVD's on ebay so Percy can have a DVD night and then leave them for the girls to watch.
Have also just got some photos from last year printed so Percy can put them in an album to leave here and then it can be added to each year. Funnily enough DD1 said this week that she is going to ask FC for a framed photo of Percy so will have to do that for a stocking filler I think!0 -
I went to the cinema today to watch The Smurfs and they advertised a Christmas film coming out in Nov all about Elves!! I was so pleased and decided straight away that Percy will book some cinema tickets upon his arrival in Dec.
It is called Arthur Christmas, here is a link to it! http://www.moviefone.com/movie/arthur-christmas/38972/main0 -

I got these last year for my boys and they were the best surprise in the world. This year im going all out with pranks and things to do in December with the elves can't wait and they are already talking about it xAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Morning, I don't post much but do lurk a lot...however, I have bought some "table diamonds" in the White Company sale for £1.80 (were £10!!) & free delivery (see thread on white company, sale ends MIDNIGHT today). They'll make excellent Elf ice crystals... or anything else shiny (hmm, snowman poop???)
Have got a friend hooked on the whole Elf idea...love it:rudolf:Lurking in a galaxy far far away...0 -
I am going to get some christmas cake sprinkles for our elf to leave one morning with instructions on how to make "magic elf porridge"
My husband thinks I am mad as I share with him all the things our elf is going to do!! hehe:xmassmile0 -

I love this idea but we are thinking of doing it with a yoohoo elve ds got in his stocking last year. Ds is very into his toys having a personality ect so he would love if Santas little helper started to do other things as well. Maybe we could make him dissapear just before we start and return with his passport and a list or something. Also as a childminder the children will love it.0
