dd came downstairs this morning and found Fuzzy sitting watching Christmas Story with all the Christmas DVD's around him, and some sweets he borrowed from the treaty cupboard. She said 'Fuzzy is starting to be naughty now, mummy, tee hee...'

A friend from work suggested Fuzzy swaps the contents of cereal boxes around :)

Nenen I enjoyed reading about Fizzy's antics, and agree with fletty I'd love to hear more.

Well my OH is loving the christmas elf idea (good job as for those of you who don't know...we don't have any children!!)
So far he has been found upside down in the christmas tree after hanging chocolates on it, he has been found with OH's camera and had taken random pics on it, found in the cat food and has decorated our home with toilet roll!!

Jangles Frosty-Socks arrived on a reindeer (from Tesco) with his sleeping bag, passport, report, jar of Jingle Beans and a personalised cup that I got when I ordered the stamp from vistaprint. My OH has been using the cup ever since Jangles arrived lol!

Id love to take part in swapping Christmas cards if Im not too late? Let me know if anyone wants to please :)

    Hi Little Evo
We’ve had a glorious time with Fizzy Merrycracker! The children were so excited when the school secretary brought us a magical parcel, even more so when we opened it to find Fizzy with all his bits and bobs. On the first day (Wednesday) he managed to eat 10 biscuits (and was found covered in crumbs) while the whole class were in the room and yet no one saw him. However, several children were convinced they saw him blink later in the day! A child in the class got an email from Santa (via the special gmail account I set up in his name) which praised several things the child had been doing. I explained that Santa would email a different child each day and whoever received the email was allowed to open the advent calendar and look after Fizzy for the day. Fizzy went everywhere with the child and I had difficulty persuading him not to take him into the loo!
The next morning (Thursday) he was found climbing up the little Christmas tree we have in our classroom apparently trying to talk to the angel on the top. Unfortunately the message he had spent ages carefully writing in a tray of fake snow got covered over by a child who thought it was just footprints so none of the children read it! LOL! The children each wrote a report to Santa all about Fizzy’s arrival and what he had been up to.
On Friday morning, Fizzy was found hanging onto the radiator, having taken all the pieces of our magnetic timetable off the filing cabinet at the front of the classroom and attaching them to the radiator at the back. He had hidden the card for ‘spelling test’! Surprisingly, none of the children wanted to look for it! LOL!
We had a long email from Santa to say that Mrs Claus was very cross with Fizzy as she had just found his wash bag hidden in the toy workshop. She had packed his toothbrush (cut down baby one), toothpaste (airline mini), shampoo (hotel mini) flannel and soap in his box to bring to our class with him and told him he clean his teeth and wash every day. However, as Fizzy doesn’t like washing, he had taken it out of his box when Mrs Claus wasn’t looking and left it behind. Lo and behold, the wash bag was now in his box ready to be used. The children were entranced!
Santa’s email also explained that he had had to have a serious talk to Fizzy about eating other people’s biscuits as to take something for ever like this was actually stealing rather than mischievous and it was up to us to teach Fizzy the difference. Fizzy had written in his journal to say he was very sorry and he would pay us for the biscuits from his pocket money. A little bag with enough shiny pennies for one each was in his box, (my husband decided the night before, when he came into the kitchen at home to find me scrubbing pennies with vinegar, that I had finally cracked)!
The children decided Fizzy had probably been tempted to steal the biscuits because we had left him out when we had our snack at breaktime. They vowed to make sure Fizzy got a biscuit of his own every day as well as the bread sticks and water Santa instructed us to leave out each night. However, they considered it hysterically funny that Fizzy thought a few pennies were enough to pay for biscuits but decided he didn’t understand our money system. I had already explained that Fizzy was a very young elf, only 135 years old, which is the age elves start elf school and their training with humans. One little girl said little children always think lots of 1ps are worth a more money than a pound coin but the pennies would be a lovely reminder of Fizzy when he had to go back home. I have been struck so many times in the past days about how creatively the children are thinking about all of this.
We have our Y3 Christmas production this week and Fizzy is spending the weekend with a little girl who is feeling a bit nervous so that he can help her practise saying her lines with expression. I am hoping he will work his elf magic and told her mum I hope he won’t be too naughty while he is staying with them. From the large wink I received, I think he may well get up to some tricks!

Thank you so much for letting us know how you are getting on and I loved hearing how the elf is spreading his magic across them all! I too think you're a fantastic teacher for putting so much effort into it for the children and giving them such fantastic memories and life lessons in the years to come as this is the exact same reason why we are doing it. :) Please let us know what else he gets up to!;)

As for ourselves the underwear and socks went down a treat this morning! The squeals for laughter and surprise from our two made my husband and I giggle excitedly for them as they raced back upstairs to tell us of JJ jingles antics for the tree. Today we put it right and decorated it ''properly'' and tonight he is going to put up the rest of the decorations and no doubt be found hanging about.:rotfl:
  • bertie and merry left he boys name bracelets and wooden watch for baby, and a note sayig they had gone back to the north pole and would be bringing a supprise back - rudolph and berties bst friend jingle-jangle!!!

Nenen -so lovely to hear what you have been up to with the elf. I wish I had had you as my teacher!! :) I agree with fletty, girlsquare and little_evo - keep us up to date with how you are getting on!

Emzy81 - I would like to swap christmas cards with you please. I am finishing my cards today (DS off sick from school and I can see a very long boring day stretching ahead of me!) so can do one for your elf. I forgot to send anyone my address when they were doing cards! If anyone else would still like to swap cards too, please let me know.

Sunny Sparkley Toes was very naughty last night and put green food colouring down the toilet last night and in the sink. He also decorated the bathroom with loo roll! He stayed at my sisters on saturday and she and her husband threw all the logs out of their log basket onto the floor, then put sunny in the log basket with an empty cider bottle! DS thought it was hilarious when he got up! :)

    Keep the stories coming!!! :D

  • The kids were thrilled with the decorations everywhere. This morning I heard my 6 yr old girl saying ''Oh JJ I love you so much for this!'' It just makes your heart get all mushy just thinking about it.;)

This evening our kids have swimming and we are going to tell them we are leaving JJ at home and as I am always last to leave the house I am going to stick him in a black bag and put him in the boot. While the kids are swimming, either myself or my husband are going to go back to the car and put some arm bands and goggles on him and set in inbetween their seats for when we go back to the car later.:D

And as for tonight I think we are going to go along with pinkflop's theme and colour the toilet water green and also wrap up the toilet itself with Christmas wrapping paper and lights as JJ thinks its needs to be more festive. lol Probably leave some elf poo in the floor as he is getting a bit closer to being toilet trained.:rotfl:

I'm loving the idea of wrapping up the loo.

Peppermint and Reg played hide and seek last night took the kids ages to find them in a big box in the middle of the dinning room DS was getting quite frantic thinking they'd gone home.
When they did find them they'd got the kids some festive ear muffs and a xmas craft - decorating tree decorations (pound shop).

DS (5) went to school this morning with his hat scarf gloves and new ear muffs and also a pair of swimming goggles (i have to say he looked kinda cute) as peppermint and Reg would find it funny! we got some funny looks. DDis off school as she now has conjunctavites(it's working itself round the family)

Keep the stories and ideas coming xxxx

I won't say my daughter misbehaved yesterday but I found the elves outside the house with their thumbs up trying to hitch a lift back to the North Pole!!!. She had an ABSOLUTE meltdown in the supermarket ... because she broke her biscuit in half!!!

There was NO reasoning with her and eventually we had to leave without having done the shopping.

So no elf visit last night - explained to her they don't give to naughty children and if she was good today they'd bring something as usual tonight after tea.

Have just phoned Mr Sessie (as he is at home with them today) and apparently she keeps saying, "I'm being good daddy.... am I being good today?"

  • Fuzzy wrapped dd's school clothes up in Christmas paper today, and swapped the breakfast cereals around.

Sessie loving the idea of the elves hitching a lift back to the North Pole, I'll have to try that one on dd. Bless your little girl today, kids are always so cute the day ofter they've driven you to distraction. If anyone wants to swap cards just pm me.
