  • Hi, can I join?
I've been intending to get a magic elf for a few years and have been persuaded by a colleague that it'll be fun to do it this year, even though LO is only 1 1/2 and probably won't understand.
I couldn't find an elf like how I imagined it to look so I've made one and finished his clothing today. Just need to decide a name and sort accessories.

    Hi charlieann, and welcome!! :hello:

your LO will love it! my youngest DD was about 1 1/2 last year ( my son is 15 months older so it probably helped) but she really remembers the mischief they got up to and she is going through a stroppy stage at the moment so if I say to her 'santa won't send you an elf this year', it works miracles!!! :D

once you get a name let us know and i will add to the list. even though your LO is young if you leave the elf where she can see it for days and then move it to dining room or kitchen or where she eats she will notice it has moved. then leave it for a day or 2 and move it to her cot/bed. you dont need to make a mess with flour angels etc with her so young.

I asked hubby for help with the name, he came up with Jon.
To make it slightly Christmasy we have Johnny Tinsel the Elf.
Now to find where he's gone. LO has ran off and hidden him!

    Hi all,

I hope your elf planning is going well!!

So Far I have: A fantastic passport - thanks to Amy, and have bought some chocolates, crafty bits from wilkinsons, fake snow from B&M, grow your own xmas trees from £1 shop, Christmas fairy cake mix from Home bargains and the Elf DVD from tesco for £3.00 for our elf to leave the kids.

However, our Elf - Patch Jingles has still not arrived!! (please can he be added to the list if he ever turns up) , I really hope he is here soon and arrives in time for the 1st, but he may need to be a late starter!!

I now need to find a journal, sleeping bag and bed for him! I am also so tempted to buy the little ones elf costumes from tesco - have you seen these they are so cute lol http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.210-1847.aspx

Happy Elf planning and please keep your fingers crossed for Patch to arrive :)

  • Hi there

Well my elves are finally here although still thinking up a name for them. Was struggling to amend the passport so any help is much appreciated.

I have got a few colouring books, xmas bowl for popcorn for a movie and some crafty bits.

So can't wait for the fun to begin!
Although I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Fear is a disease....Hope is it's only cure!
