Hi everyone! I followed Yummy-mummy-Amy from another website. I'm from US and we have elves that visit us too. I'd (well, the elves would ) love to swap Christmas cards if anyone else is interested in posting to the US.

    Happy Elfin'!
Jeniferdwn, pm me your elfs name and address and i will post a card out when i post my relatives cards to the states on the 1st december.

    Hiya

Well, finally i got a bit more organised. I just went to poundland and got a ruldolph hotwater bottle cover that will be his bag. I got the little journal (black with gold pattern on it) which just about fits and I got another normal hot water bottle cover for his sleeping bag. I also got all the advent calanders (last ben 10 one in town for £1 - phew) and a pink xmas tree for dd's room. I am going back next tuesday to get the boys a tree but i was in a rush today as dh sat in car waiting for me.

So all i have to do now is update Otis's outfit. Which wont be done now until Tuesday (cutting that a bit fine i think, might have to do it one evening instead!!!) and the letter to the kids from him and his passport if i have time and his santa friend and fairy friend but they dont have to be done yet.

cant wait until the first!!! :D
  • stamp has arrived from vistaprint, passports have arrived - thank you.

  • hi,

my "elf in training" is bringing a notebook with her to make notes on being a visiting elf, HOWEVER, i want to put some bits on a few pages as though she has made some notes at the north pole.

    so far i have:
to become a visiting elf you must:

    be over 18yrs old
have done at least 3years at school/college
be born an elf, you cant just become 1
    like christmas and toys
be able to sing and dance

and elf notes on another page:

    santa is my religion
    elves dont like violence
elves only come to life when humans are not about
if a human sees us moving we loose our magic powers
on january 6th the elves dance in the "middle field" to celebrate the end of christmas
    acheyla = hello in elf

    any ideas please???

  • Hi, can I join?
I've been intending to get a magic elf for a few years and have been persuaded by a colleague that it'll be fun to do it this year, even though LO is only 1 1/2 and probably won't understand.
I couldn't find an elf like how I imagined it to look so I've made one and finished his clothing today. Just need to decide a name and sort accessories.

    Hi charlieann, and welcome!! :hello:

your LO will love it! my youngest DD was about 1 1/2 last year ( my son is 15 months older so it probably helped) but she really remembers the mischief they got up to and she is going through a stroppy stage at the moment so if I say to her 'santa won't send you an elf this year', it works miracles!!! :D
