Hi everyone, not done much elfing for a while, been away and then my youngest has been poorly with croup all this week, thankfully she's on the mend now. Luckliy I had most things ready before, just got to sort my vistaprint stamp that came a couple of days ago. Took some photos today of my elves packing up their sleigh and even a couple of them arriving to save time later!elysia2003 wrote: »I just had to check our elf was on the list and laughed when I saw below that Mistletoe was in elf heaven. Ahh bless. :rotfl:

my "elf in training" is bringing a notebook with her to make notes on being a visiting elf, HOWEVER, i want to put some bits on a few pages as though she has made some notes at the north pole.
so far i have:
to become a visiting elf you must:
be over 18yrs old
have done at least 3years at school/college
be born an elf, you cant just become 1
like christmas and toys
be able to sing and dance
and elf notes on another page:
santa is my religion
elves dont like violence
elves only come to life when humans are not about
if a human sees us moving we loose our magic powers
on january 6th the elves dance in the "middle field" to celebrate the end of christmas
acheyla = hello in elf
any ideas please???
How about -

other elf notes....
find somewhere cold for emergencies,
Can't think of anything else at the momentHTH am a lurker on the thread and love all the ideas. Will add any more if can think of any

He wasn't a toy elf, he was more of an ornament really ( all I could find last year at the last minute). He had a soft stuffed body and wooden legs.
After DD2 took him everywhere and made him do everything, his leg fell off.:rotfl: He's been replaced with Jangles this year (the boy elf from Amazon.com).
I just hope she likes him - she did mention she hoped a girl elf would come this year. :eek:I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Am almost ready to go with elves......have bought two cheap rocket sledges that they will arrive on.....have fake snow to go underneath.......but at this rate there might be real snow as it has been snowing for two days and we are due another dump next week.....(they are coming on Tues 30th with advents ready for the 1st).
My big problem this year is this is my third year of doing this and my dd is now 8 and questioning the whole Christmas shabang ;(. So far I have been non- committal but am wondering if I get a direct question what I am going to say??!!)
Any help with this would be most welcome0 -

would the cards from other elves help her believe? photos next to EVERYONE including mum/dad (camera at arms length above head - eyes shut and *HOPE* your in the pic - took me about 10shots last yr).
wen my noww 8yr old said he didnt believe last year, the elf only did things for younger 2 - left them chocolates etc, he decided that maybe he was real and had to appologise to the elf!!!
when i questioned everything i was told only those that belive get presents etc.due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:
