Brilliant! Thank you! That will save the rows when they are older and they both want to keep it (she says hopefully!) I wonder if it's the same book? Also says skirt is sold separately?~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -

Thank you, I'll have a look! It's a shame there isn't more info about the girl, I've had a "google" but I might have to wait until it's released to see what you actually get and if you need to buy a skirt which if you did, would be a bit off.
I presume it's the same book but I don't know if it will be adjusted for the girl or if the elf in the book is "male" and right now I can't access our copy as the kids are in bed!!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -

i've not read the elf on the shelf book but i've seen the movie and theres a girl elf in that.. i think the skirts are white with red bits in, could always knit up a barbie skirt or even get a cut off of material and make a simple skirt up for it.. But i agree bit weird they don't come with the skirt isf thats the caseThank you, I'll have a look! i have just found this thread and it sounds like really good fun, id like to join if thats ok? i do have a few questions though...i have read through some of the posts but theres soooo many!
i have a boy (nearly 6) and a girl (2) so would i need to buy them an elf each? wheres the best place to get them from as cheap as possible?
when does the elf actually come? is it the beginning of dec? also, how would you explain it all to the kids? how the elf got here, and why hes here. also all the activities listed on page 1, are they ideas you do everyday?
i read about the elf passports, how would i go about getting one of them?
sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance for any replies
**Waiting for a BIG win!**
Thank you all posters!

hiya! up to you if you get an elf each.. i was just going to have one but ended up wtih 3 lol just cause i love them soo much!
when does the elf actually come?mine will come on the 1st of december, the american tradition comes the day after thanksgiving... it originally comes from scandanavia though.
how would you explain it all to the kids? I have got a letter from santa explaining who the elf is, what he is doing here etc. Theres a few sites online which can give you sample letters... i've taken ideas from those and made my own elf pack up.
also all the activities listed on page 1, are they ideas you do everyday? The tradition came from the elf just being moved from place to place and the child had to find it.. dependant of your childrens understand its up to you if you leave bits out for them todo etc.. There is literally hundreds of ideas you could do...
i read about the elf passports, how would i go about getting one of them? And again you can find templates online... i've made my own one of those again too, IF you're graphics savvy on the pc its easy enough todo or to even just print out the ones on
http://christmas.organizedhome.com/celebrate/magic-elf-tradition is a brilliant site, explaining it all and lots of printouts you can use. /
And Here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAGICAL-CHRISTMAS-ELF-PASSPORT-ELF-REPORT-BAG-PERSONALISED-/320764907055 is an idea of what people use and leave out... Though im considering making mine free to use for next year as there are so many out there that are just pieces of paper cashing in on it.Totally debt free wohooo 2014
