no problem. IF you have the time to sit and google elf mischief, elf blogs, elf activiies etc, there are loads of sites with ideas.
the best thing i found is sit and work out "what you have in your house that could cause mischief" etc and take it from there - we bought the 2yr old rocking horse for his birthday and going to turn it into a reindeer and teach it to fly!!!due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

LOL! I'm going to have a good look later! We've already done "green wee" trick, then a couple of nights ago "Joe" spelt out our children's names in cheerios, then he had made a display of snowflakes, a party with the musical Christmas toys, helped himself to a midnight feast, wrote our children notes! We were going to the car driving one but since we are NOT allowed to move him that's out the window! Would love to see how you're going to make your rocking horse fly! LOL!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0

Just a thought, could you send a new note saying santa is really impressed that everyone stuck to the rules and that it was a test so now everyone is allowed to touch the elf(for cuddles or to move) if an adult says its ok (but that he must not be played with as a toy)?0

That's a lovely idea and something we had thought of when he arrived with the book but as he is something we want to keep and hopefully pass onto our children if they have children (we already know he's going to need a playmate in the near future to avoid rows) trouble is my dd wouldn't stick to it, once she was allowed to touch him albeit only with an adults permission that would be it, he'd be covered in crayon, chocolate, etc., LOL! ! We are going to let them do something on Christmas Eve when he arrives with their Christmas Eve hamper and include a note from Santa so they can say goodbye (they are nuts about him).
Hopefully with thanks to this thread and the links I've now got enough ideas until next week! We think tonight he's going to be abseiling across the living room curtain poles!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -

well he had antlers on and a red nose and "magic snow" (fake snow stuff) all over him and the floor! and "instructions taped to tv...run, jump, glide, fly, land!!! BUT in the journal it says that they tried to teach the cat and dog to fly but they were too stupid but looked cute....see pics on camera! kids thought it was great (the animals didnt!)due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

Thanks to Amy, we ended up with a reindeer at our house too named Mickey. Today when the kids came home from school we found Mickey tied to a piece of string and hanging from the light fixture along with an elf. They had left a note too saying the other animals were not impressed and a have a picture of our dog with antlers on her head and she has a paw over her face looking like she was ashamed to be wearing them and she proably was. lol We also have one of our boy cat Moe who if looks could kill would have done so today because we took a photo of him wearing them too. lol The kids asbolutely LOVED it and laughed non-stop.
I think tonight is going to be a craft left out for them to do and tomorrow night they are going to hang up loads of mistletoe and the kids will find each of the elves with various Barbies kissing under it.0 -
This has been the best thing since sliced bread in my kids eyes lol, We named him Dudley, He arrived with all his bits and bobs. I did not buy the one that cant be moved but just a normal soft toy one, Bought a elf book to go with it and hubby has done his own blog online where we print out everynight and taking pictures etc, He has been to see the coke lorry in swansea, he has been to the winter wonderland santa fair too, he has been shopping with us and been for dinner with us when we have gone out. He has had a tea party with my little ones toys and herself, He has done lots of colouring, he has helped paint the girls room, he has even sat in the bathroom when my little one has been in the bath she wont leave him alone. He has been up to lots of mischief he has raided the beer friedge, swung from the light shade, he even played the playstaion, left a trail of snow all over the living room, My little one has been in fits of laughter. When my mother in law got taken ill, she ended up in intensive care but now she is on the normal ward, kids insisted that dudley went to stay with nana, as he could keep nana company, Much to the amusement of the doctors and nurses when my mother in law explains why she has a elf on her bed lol, We are expecting Dudley back on friday when my mother in law gets dischargd from hospital and comes sraight to our house to stay. We will then have a christmas eve supper with dudley and once the mulled wine and mince pies go around and the kids have their christmas eve hampers and hot chocolate we will say goodbye to dudley. He may even have the head elf to stay next year to keep a eye on dudley as he has been very hyper bless him'There are far better things ahead Than any we leave behind '0

We have still been busy with our elves. Last night they decided to hang up red and white balloons with snowmen and santas and also they wrote all over the windows in 'snow paint' their names and 'elves rule' which the kids loved. Tonight they are getting into a silly string fight and red and green. We will see how that goes.0
