Our elf Crackers has been up to lots of mischeif so far he has
Made lifesize models of the kids and put elf hats on top
Drawn moustache and glasses on all photo frames
Wrote kids christmas cards
found in the fridge eating yoghurt
in the bath sailing in a pan
Made a snow angel in flour
Barbie party
played on wii
Kids stayed at grandmas and he stole grandmas teeth (kids thought this was hilarious )

Have you done the portable santa video this year? The kids think the elves on it are real crackers

Jingle Tumbleflump and Jolly Jinglepip have just finished all their cards and the reaminder will be posted tomorrow morning!! tonight I think they will be making snow angels on the floor!!!

I'm having a bit of a problem with the elf and my Ds who's 5.

Ds is a sensitive soul and a great worrier. He's getting really upset at the elf being naughty because he knows being naughty is bad and he doesn't want him to get into trouble. This is our 3rd year with him and he's been ok the other years.

Every night before he goes to sleep he's setting up toys for the elf to play with so he doesn't get bored and create mischief. Earlier on he asked if we could shut his bedroom door so he couldn't escape.

So far the elf has eaten a candy cane and that's about all. I'm torn because i want to create all the mischief thinking it's fun for Ds but he's just getting anxious and worried and it's no fun for him.

I think maybe he'll just have to turn into a good elf.

can you not just leave things like colouring pages with elf started to colour them, make red/green pancake mix for tea (make 1 pancake covered in syrup n cake sprinkles with elf eating it) but he made too much and left for you to eat. leave a note about giving to others and ask your child to sort any old toys and take them to charity shop, put a small tree in childs room, hang paper snowflakes about to look more xmasy,

bertie went on strike last night, complete with little sign saying so. - the boys were being really naughty yesterday evening and they didnt put bertie back in his sleeping bag!!!

Tomorrow is the kids Christmas dinner at school and I completely forgot about it. I feel like a terrible mother right now more than anything else, so in order to make it more festive for them I am letting the elves do their version of a Christmas packed dinner so when they open their lunchboxes it will be filled with red & green cupcakes, sandwiches in the shape of snowmen, chocolate elves and red doritos and even put in a christmas cracker and a small present from the elves to say Merry Christmas, in the hope it will make the kids feel special and smile tomorrow.

This is our second year of secret elf and its getting harder to think of new ideas what mischief the elf can get up to.
So far we have
decorated kids room with lights, etc.
Hung bras from the children's beds whilst they were sleeping.
decorated the lounge with sweets
dressed up in dolls clothes
tissue paper from bathroom
zip line from tree

What are your elfs getting up to tonight, or what have you done already?

Glad your kids liked it.

Last night Binky covered the christmas tree with toilet roll and it was hanging off the light fittings and from our ceiling decorations. He had also wrapped up my youngest daughters Peppa Pig toy in toilet roll.

I also bought a pink toilet cleaner that you put in the cistern so my girls think that Binky did magic to make the toilet water turn pink

At the beginning my partner thought that I had gone mad but now he is joining in with the fun and coming up with ideas of his own.

Cards received from Pete Pixie and Eric Elf, Jingle and Jangle Gingerbread, Brian and Twinkle Elf, Marley, thanks everyone. Today Fuzzy and Chilly were naughty, found hanging from the toilet tissue they had wrapped around the bannisters, maybe they were abseiling down the stairs..?

Peppy Mistletoe came to school with us today (I work in Ds class). During assembly he turned on one of the class computers and was found on the teacher's chair playing a Santa computer game. When the children (years 1 and 2) came in from lunchtime play, a few were very confused to find their drawers were not in the normal places. Peppy had muddled up all their drawers and as they all realised what had happened , there was almost a riot of excitement and mock outrage, it was mass hysteria :rotfl:

Later on he almost ate some mince pies the children had baked but luckily he was stopped just in time, lol.

What a day! They all want him to come back tomorrow, but think they are hyper enough now :j
