Tesco Entertainment Black Ops Pre-order - Did you receive yours? Poll

I was very disappointed to have not received the Call of Duty - Black Ops that I ordered from Tescos Entertainment last Thursday. At the time they were heavily promoting it with a £5 off voucher making it the cheapest that I could find online. I thought I was just unlucky but it appears not - I have yet to see a post from anyone on here or HUKD who ordered from them and did receive it.

So here's a poll with 4 simple options. Let's see if anyone was luckier than me and what other's experience was with other companies online pre-orders.

Am glad someone started this thread ! Tesco have caused a right argument & disapointment in my household today, i have emailed them about my disapointment, i got an email on Sunday saying it had been despatched, i think that in itself is poor as they should of been shipping Friday - theres no way Royal Mail will of handled these until Monday afternoon at the earliest as they do not collect at the weekend or on a Sunday.

I do know that 1000's of these were shipped thru RM on Saturday & were probably delivered on Monday - all i know now is that Tesco cant be trusted on pre-orders.

poor from tesco leaving it so late to send the game out,will not buy a pre order game again from them

the thing that got me was,there was never an option to cancel from order,which i thought was not very fair.

i rang and was told they was sorry the option did not show,but now it was to late to cancel.

i ordered 4th around 5pm,tried to cancel via phone next morning 5th

but did not get dispatched till the sunday morning,there should of been enough time surely.

ive just filled in a watchdog form,i doubt anything will come of it,but its worth a try

personally the more i think about it the more upset am getting !!! Other than Fifa 11 this is the biggest game launch of 2010 , a total disapointment. :-(

Same here. Pre ordered on the 4th, no option to cancel. No delivery for release date, I was told it was posted on Sunday, how does that give it time to arrive by RM with their service lately???
Not happy, had to go and buy at Asda for more money and now stuck with the hassle of trying to return (at my own cost) for a refund if it ever arrives!!

Useless. Absolutely rubbish. I ordered on 11th September and still have not received it. Same rubbish responses about sunday despatch. Erm royal mainland Sundays!!!!!! I will never use tesco for business again. My brother and my nephew have same result. Somebody ought to take them to task about this

I believe they despatched from Jersey instead of mainland UK which means an extra day postage. On the TE site they said delivery in 1 to 2 days and yet the despatch email says 3-5 working days. As they weren't despatched until early hours of Sunday morning today is the earliest it could be here and could be as late as Friday. I ordered black ops from them because I had a good experience with Halo Reach (received day before release). As with many although I see receiveing the day before a bonus not receiveing it on the release date on a pre-order is just ridiculous. I don't have the cash flow available to buy another copy so I'm kinda stuck waiting until Royal Mail finally pop it through the door. I won't be ordering from tesco entertainment again regardless of the deal.

Ordered on the 2/11, told it was dispatched on sunday, didn't arrive on release date 9/11. Today is Wednesday 10/11 will it arrive today........i hope so. Again as with other people as soon as i pressed the confirm order button, the cancel option was removed and awaiting dispatch was in its place, surely if an item is 'awaiting dispatch' that means they had them in stock and should have posted there and then.

Well it didn't arrive today either,so i have been and bought it from Sainsburys at 4pm
Tesco have really let themselves down this time, i doubt people will preorder from them again (unless they're not in any hurry) i know i wont.

As per other posts. I ordered well in advance (about 6 weeks), got email on Sunday 7/11 to say it had been dispatched. Now Wed 10/11 and still not arrived.

What I actually did was go and buy it from Game on release date. If/when the Tesco copy arrives, I'll simply send it back for a refund. Tesco's website says they won't repay return postage costs, but it was £1.30 cheaper at Game so this should cover the return postage.

I know one person who pre-ordered from Amazon and it arived on Monday 8/11. Last timemI order from Tesco.
