Guys this thread is fantastic and I've started thinking about what I'm going to put in the ones I'll be doing for DH Grandad, My sister, and my mother for her birthday in Jan (xmas is already sorted).

You could technically put it in anything so long as you have cleaned it properly :) Only downside is people might notice it's a ketchup bottle? :dunno:

This year I've decided I am making German inspired baskets! Full of yummy baked treats - a Stollen, some gingerbread, various biscuits, marzipan.... yum :D Now they just have to make their way from my house to others without being eaten :rotfl:

Aldi have their bottles of Mulled Wine in £2.79 for a 75cl - they've changed the style of them as well. Only know as I've just been in and picked up their wine catalogue  redwine.gif

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Toffee vodka.... take one bottle of vodka... pour a bit out of the bottle (I like to call this the chefs privilege!) Take a rolling pin to an unwrapped bag of Werthers Originals (or similar) and put them in the vodka. Shake bottle well and leave for a couple of days... hey presto... nothing left floating in bottle, and a lethal smelling drink!

We used to do this in Norway with sweets called Turkish Peppers, and they make great shots, especially in the winter, or if you have a cold!:D
