Complaining Neighbours

I have VOSA approval !0

That is what i am beginning to think ,
The first complaint is planning permission so objections are ok ,the council makes the decision.
But the next two complaints are unjustified ,so i now have to wait if i get any more complaints that are unreasonable i will probaly see where i stand.
How can you say the next two complaints are unjustified?
Cat poo in their garden is not unjustified. There may not be anything that they can do about it, but it doesn't make them unreasonable in complaining.
And you don't even know what the business one is - in fact you don't even know 100% that they have made a complaint as the "grapevine" can be the downfall of many folks. Have you had a think about something that could have been genuinely misunderstood or annoying to/by your neighbours?
They could have come to you, but equally you could have gone to them to say "I'm sorry about the cats, if there's anything I could do I would." Good neighbourly relations work both ways.0 -

I know no one likes white vans and its minibus but large vehicle like a white van.0

If getting the enviromental health is justified why did they not do anything about it ??
They are not doing there job properly.0 -

They have quite probably given your neighbours advice as to how best to discourage your cats from their garden. Unfortunately that is all they can really do about cats.0 -
OP, I know where you are coming from - we have the NFH and have had similar reports made too! (minus the cat poo as we don't have one and no white van either!) Started with planning permission, then building regs, then Party Wall Act, Environmental health - you name it! We started to go down the route of the harrassment act when neighbour tried to hit OH after he drilled a hole at 3:20pm during the week. Neighbour tried to counterclaim the harrassment which backfired on him. He threw our planning application sign on the ground and refused to allow anyone to put it back up.
He complains to environmental health about any noise coming from our house yet all of the surrounding neighbours can be using angle grinders/knocking down walls etc and no complaints are made. OH works on house when he has holiday and on Saturday mornings (no evenings/Sundays etc) The outside works are all complete so it all looks nice and tidy so to speak.
Jealousy? We don't know what it is. Just have to hope they want to move before we do!0 -
Thank you above post i know exactly how you feel !0

Firstly they should of complained to us ,and we would talk to them they are the ones that choose not to talk to us.
And i am aware of the business complaint but i have not been spoken too about it yet but i am fully aware what it is and i have all relevent council and VOSA licences ,which are the issue .
They are clutching at straws!0 -
From the other side of the fence. My old neighbours never once gave a second thought to the fact that their cat pooed in my garden every day, which I had to clear before allowing my toddler out to play (I didn't have cats at the time), he constantly fixed cars on the driveway which meant that ALL day I had bang, clatter, bang, clatter to hear, then when he finished "work" he could bang, hammer and saw working on doing up his house. Every Saturday morning at 7am for a year it started - drill, bang and hammer constantly. Sometimes Sundays, sometimes evenings, everyday for 3 weeks when he was off work. It was like living in a building site.
When you are already wound up by your neighbours silly things annoy you. When I was at the end of my tether I ended up ranting to my Grandmother about how my neighbour had lots of people in his garden one Saturday and the noise of them all talking (all men so was quite loud) was really getting too me. It took her to point it out before I realised that the genuinely annoying things were making everything seem bad.
Have you tried speaking to your neighbour? Our nightmare was instantly resolved when I spoke to my neighbour and he realised what it was that really annoyed me and I realised which bits I was justified in and what I wasn't.0
