blimey, lots of organisedness going on here! even if it only lasts a day or two it's nice to think what we can do when we are in the right frame of mind! :j0

Hi Aloiseb, thanks for popping by. I know what you mean about the present situation. My FIL bought me a load of Thorntons chocolates one year which were nice but the money would have been better spent on a voucher instead.
Hi little_h, my dis-organisation will soon return:(0 -
Hello everyone
DS tidied his bedroom up this morning, bless him:j
I have had a good study day although it was hard to get my brain back into gear. Not much longer to go and then I can start to look for some more freelance work so I can really start hammering these balances. I haven't had a payrise this year so hopefully the boss might be in a generous mood one day and I will broach the subject. I'm sick of thinking about money all the time, its become an obsession. I feel like Scrooge sometimes, even the kids liken me to him:o
Its my first day back at work tomorrow so I'm expecting my desk to look like a bombs hit it0 -
ah good for DS! glad he has seen what's good for him!
well done on your study day, i know how hard it is to knuckle down for those when there are no distractions but with children and things to think about too, it must be very difficult. but i promise you, it will be worth it and you will always have that very well respected bit of paper
i know what you mean about thinking about money all the time, i really feel there is no let up from it sometimes especially as my job is financial too! now at least i know that while i am in a lot of debt, my finances are reasonably under control so i am thinking about how i can pay things back quicker, rather than fretting about what might be lurking.
good luck for work tomorrow, and hope your boss is feeling generous!0 -
Hi Choogirl
I too can sympathise with DS bedroom as i am always complaining about DS2 - of course he just grins at me and then i end up tidying it:o
Have you joined the grocery challenge? I know its only the first week but i have only spent 22 pounds so far - really makes you think when you are shopping. Mind you i do love a challenge:D
I make up pack ups at night too - only because i can hardly open my eyes in the morning - get up at 6 and leave house at 7.15 for work:(
Hope work goes ok tomorrow :APayment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0 -

Thanks little_h
I was ready to pack in all my studying in November as the whole debt situation was getting too much for me. I couldn't focus on studying at all but part of the debt is study cost related so it would have been mad to throw it all away when I have worked so hard. I am going to qualify and use it to my advantage.
I have the same attitude to the debt, its there and needs to be gone I am not going to rest until every penny is paid.0 -

Thanks Boysma
I felt really guilty last night after I had had my rant at my gorgeous boy, but he had done a really good job this morning. I sometimes think I am too hard on him:(
I probably will join the grocery challenge in February I'm going to need a list to keep track of all the challenges:rotfl:0 -
The pack ups are made and in the fridge.I usually buy squeezy yoghurts and mini rice puddings for the kids pack ups but they are really expensive so I have made mini jellies in sealable containers, one jelly cost me 30p and I have got 4 jellies made so that is 7.5p each jelly, how MSE is that?:j I have also got some value instant custards that I could make and put in their pack ups next week as well. Every little helps in cutting the spending.
Nearly time for bed night night x0 -
Evening
I've had a good day back at work, as predicted my desk looks as though a nuclear bomb has exploded, my inbox is groaning at the seams and my boss was his usual demanding self. All in all a normal day at the office:rotfl:
I am so tired though I should really do some work for a client but all I want to do is get a nice hot bath with lovely bubble bath, put my jamas on and have a nap on the settee with my little cat snuggled up next to me. Right thats me decided its bath time as soon as the kids are in bed :T0 -
I'm doing exactly that kids in bed and nice hot bath and i might pinch a bottle of hubbys lager.0
