Had another mess about with my DFD today and managed to get it to December 2011:j

However that takes so many factors into account which are

    Ebay selling
    Gumtree selling
Shaving £25 a month off the grocery shopping
Working some extra hours at work
    No summer holiday
Going to the hairdressers every 5 weeks instead of every 4 weeks
Chucking all DH spare work expenses at the balances after he has paid off his credit card that is used for work
Use any spare money left over from the joint entertainment budget to reduce the balance
Use any money left over from my pocket money each month

So it is do-able a little pain for a year and it could all be over:j

Other factors that could be taken into consideration are

    1) We could both get a payrise:rotfl:
    2) More freelance work
    3) All spare change to be chucked at the balance
    4) PPI claims - don't think theres anything to be had but its worth a try
    5) Write to HMRC I think I've overpaid NI contributions for last year
    6) Do a video of the cat for You've Been Framed (long shot but worth a try)
    7) Surveys and competitions
    8) Only grocery shopping once a week - this has slipped over Christmas so need to knock it on the head
    9) Become more frugal
    10) Become less generous we try far too hard when friends come round for dinner so will try and reduce extravagant food spending on friends
    11) Only have 1 bottle of wine per week instead of 3, this would save me an additional £10 per week
    12) Look out constantly for vouchers, money saving ideas and bargains
    13) Say no to the hairdresser when she is trying to sell me some miracle hair product that costs a small fortune. Mr A, Mr T and Mr S own brand will do me just fine

I am going to become Mrs Mean - I mean business and if I want to achieve this goal meaness and being thrifty are going to become my way of life:p

Remembering that a bargain is only a bargain if you need it
    Watch this space - I am on a mission:T

Its always the same isn't it when you don't have any money theres always loads of nice stuff but when you have vouchers or money theres nothing to spend them on. Just keep thinking of all the lovely new spring clothes that are starting to appear:D

    Evening

DH has just announced that he would like steak for his dinner on Saturday night. STEAK  doesn't he realise that there is debt busting to do. He can have his steak but it will mean pasta for dinner on a couple of midweek days - ying and yang:)

Had a busy afternoon - done some accountancy work, ironed and done a load of washing which is now on the radiators.
I am now going to do a meal plan and shopping list for tomorrow:mad:

DH has said that he will make the pack ups for tomorrow however he is still sat down messing around on his laptop. I will be so cross if it gets to 10pm and they're still not done and he goes off to bed.

On a positive note I found 10p on the footpath today so this will go into our debt busting jar:j

    Thanks Mummytogirls

I am on a mission and will not relent I am going to beat this.

Done my shopping list going to go to Mr Alxx and probably Mr A as well this afternoon so I'll see how much can be saved this week.

DH has had a request to renew his photo driving lesson will cost us £20+ privilege the robbing barstewards:mad:

Trying to sort out DD birthday party out and I've decided to make cupcakes this year instead of 1 big cake. I've just being looking at the toppers for them and they're so expensive so I'm just going to buy dolly mixtures and pink sparkly decorations for them. I will buy some nice cupcake cases and they will look absolutely gorgeous.
I may even wrap them in individual cellophane bags with pink ribbon to tie them I think I may have some bags tucked away somewhere:T
    Back to work x

Done my shopping and I underspent by 67p:mad: so not as profitable as last week but at least its in my pocket and not Mr Aldx I am going to add it to the family treat pot. I am still amazed that I can buy so much shopping for £48 and save myself so much money by not shopping at Mr S. I still miss Mr S though:(
Aldx products are just as good just not got hundreds of choices to choose from. I bought most of my shopping from Aldx and then bought the "fancier" items from Mr A such as pak choi, sun dried tomatoes, ginger, chilis etc. I have restocked up the cereal, bread and milk so it was money well spent:T
DH received £18 of dividends today so that will also go in the family treat pot.

Tonight I am going to do some Vat work for a client and tomorrow will be spent cleaning the house and sorting out party things for DD:T
