Hi Needing accountability
Thank you for popping by, I did check by using last years usage figures so was abit surprised when they said I could save as much as they did. I'll be keeping a close eye on whats going on and the DD can be amended if necessary.

Good Morning
Mummytogirls - Dinner was lovely, DH cooked it whilst I did the ironing. DD enjoyed McDs and the undivided attention of Mum and Dad.
Todays list
Mahoosive pile of washing - still to finish (doesn't look as scary today)
Kids beds stripped and changed
Reconciling finances spreadsheet to bank account
Meet DB and DN at the park for some much needed fresh air
Put yesterdays ironing away
Do the remainder of the ironing
I would also like to pop to Debenh*ms as they still have their sale on and DS is desperate for some new jeans and trousers for winter, might see if they have any bargains.
I'll put the ironing away later but will put the clothes we're taking with us on holiday into the spare room otherwise DD will think she can wear the usual 3 outfits a day.
Better go and get started xxx0 -
Evening Choo, did you get all your jobs done?
I had to laugh at your DD thinking she can wear 3 outfits a day on holiday, I always take way too much too :rotfl:!! xxMummytogirls x0 -

Mummy - I got most of the jobs done, the ironing still needs finishing but that can be done tonight
DD is a madam for changing outfits, she'll wear something for an hour and then thinks its acceptable for it to be thrown into the wash basket :mad:0 -

Hi Lionheartedgirl
Thanks for popping by, I've also become guilty of just lurking on your diary as well
I'm really pleased with the handbag fund, hopefully DH might just top it up for me en-route through duty free
I promise to catch up more often on your diary xxxx0 -
Good Morning
A brighter start here today. 3 days left in the office and then I break up for holidays :j
I managed to get most of my jobs done yesterday but theres still some ironing to be done, despite my best efforts on Saturday and Sunday. I guess thats the price to pay when the washing mounts up due to rainy weather.
Went to Debenh*ms and bought DS some chinos and jeans and spent £14 in total, so pleased with that. He should just need one more pair of jeans, fleecy top and PJS and he should be sorted for winter. In the past I've over bought clothes for the pair of them and they end up barely worn - what a waste so now I'm only going to buy a few items and replace them as and when they start to look shabby or too small.
Met up with DB and DN yesterday at the park, DN is abit of a handful and DB appears to be taking the brunt of DN not taking too kindly to learning hearing the word NO been said to him.
Right back to work, catch up soon xxxx0 -
Hi Choo, wow that sounds like a right bargain in Debenhams. Think I might have to have a nosey at their sale items!
Oh no how old is DN? DD2 is a bit like that but always stand her ground and she will realise in the end!

Good Morning
Mummy - DN is 3 years old and a right handful. He bites my DB when he gets told No or stopped from doing what he wants. He has been allowed to do what he wants for the past 3 years so they're getting the problems now!
Well its another showery day! Summer has gone
I managed to get all the ironing finished last night and everyone has been told to wear the same clothes for as long as possible this week. I'll do the washing tonight and peg it out tomorrow and then tomorrow night can be spent ironing again. That should be it then for washing and ironing before the holidays.
On Thursday I'll take DD for some new school shoes and look at tracksuits as well. The afternoon can be spent cleaning and then it should just need a quick swish and swipe Friday before we head off to the airport hotel.
Moneywise - its gone abit haywire this month due to buying a few new bits for holidays and the hall re-decoration went over budget so we'll be having a frugal September.
I'm going to analyse my top up shopping receipts tonight and identify where overspending is happening. I will also be doing a Mr S internet shop tonight for delivery when we return from our holidays.
Taken some mince out of the freezer this morning so its spag bol and garlic bread for dinner tonight!
I think thats about it from me.
Catch up soon xxx0 -
A very sheepish Choogirl is having a quick update.
After reading a thread on the grabbit board last night about buying toiletries from Boots I thought that I would personally test the theory.
The theory was to go to the Advantage card machine and see which offers are on and print off the relevant voucher but press the print button more than once to get more vouchers. I succeeded in printing off 3 vouchers for 25% off any toothpaste. All mouthcare products are on 3 for 2 at the moment so I duly choose 3 lots of toothpaste and went to the self-service checkout.
All went swimmingly until payment time but the supervisor had to come across and authorise my transactions as the machine wouldn't let me use more than one voucher
Hmmm when did having an extra reduction of 54p become so important?
I did manage to buy 3 toothpastes, 2 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 shower gel and kit kat for £6.52 so I can't complain too much :rotfl:
Lesson learned - you can't con the machine!0
