    Good Morning

Mummy - the pegs are now definitely looking their age.

Well what to report today, I feel like I write about the same old drivel every day.

The cannelloni was a semi-success last night, it turned out really nice but because I'd used pork mince instead of beef mince it looked and tasted like I'd stuffed sausages into the tubes :rotfl: I also roasted some baby new potatoes in garlic and olive oil and stir fried some veggies in balsamic vinegar. Its amazing what can be made in 45 minutes!

I had another go at the ironing last night and all that's left now are the fiddly items that always get left until last.

DH credit card bill is due this week so I'm going to have to log onto the internet banking and pay it but I'll also have to see what state the current account is in. DH hasn't submitted his expenses yet so we're going to have to sub it from our own money until he gets his expenses.

Right back to work and maybe I'll have plucked up the courage by lunchtime to look :(

Just had a look at the bank account and its not as dire as imagined, we did go overdrawn by £150 just before DH was paid but theres some money to be shuffled about to cover some items that are budgetted for but the moneys saved into a different account.

Holiday spends were well controlled, maybe overspent by £30 but overall I don't think its too bad. A frugal month is ahead of us which will allow us to re-coup and get back on track.

I think tonight will be spent reconciling the budget spreadsheet to the bank account which will make me feel alot happier.

Car tax has also been paid out at £165.

    Back to work xxx
  • Hi Choo, I always feel like im chatting the same old, but it actually keeps me on track!! So I wouldnt worry about it, we like reading it haha :rotfl:!!

Yay to the bank accounts not looking too bad too. Heres to a frugal September  xx

    Good afternoon

Thanks Mummy - I'm glad my drivel doesn't drive you mad x

Today has been spent buying the last few bits and pieces before school next week. I'm now giving the upstairs a quick tidy round and filling a charity bag full of last years school clothes that no longer fit. Nothing was worth putting on eBay and it saves me a trip to the clothes bank.

I have dd winter coat and some walking boots of hers to go on eBay so I will have a go at that this weekend.

I fancied a take away last night but was really good and cooked the burgers that I'd taken out of the
freezer instead. Ive got all the ingredients in the house to make a curry so I'll make one tomorrow along with some homemade naan breads.

Not much else to report, catch up soon xx

    Quick update

    [STRIKE]
    Marinade chicken for tonights curry
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Washing[/STRIKE]Clean downstairs - Just the kitchen and utility room to do now
    Weeding
    Ironing

The chicken is marinading and the fridge smells of garlic.

I am looking forward to getting back to proper routines next week, I'm planning on ironing one night a week and then only having to do school stuff at the weekends.

I'd like to do some batch cooking/baking on a Saturday morning so need to make sure that the housework gets done on my days off.

Mummy - I do have a naan bread recipe, its so easy I'll post it up tomorrow xx

    Mummy

Here is the naan bread recipe - makes 4 small or 2 large

    1/2lb strong white bread flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    100ml natural yoghurt

Mix all the ingredients together, cover with cling film and leave in a warm place for 1 and a half hours

    Knead and then flatten/roll out

Heat a frying pan until really hot and dry fry them for 5 minutes

Pop under a hot grill for a minute and voila homemade naan bread.

I added some black onion seeds and fresh coriander at the mixing stage but you could add garlic or whatever else you fancy.

Soooo easy and really yummy xx

    Good Morning

What has happened to the weather? There is a definite autumnal feel in the air, I need to buy some warm winter clothes for work pronto.

The kids are back to school so last night was spent making sure that school and PE bags were ready, pack ups were made, school clothes, hairbrush and hair accessories were laid out. This morning was so easy, I need to make sure that this regime is carried out every night so none of us end up mega stressed every morning.

I have loads on today as we have a big year end meeting tomorrow to finalise the accounts so I prepare everything, so no popping back on here until this evening.

Will catch up with everyone later.

Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx
