    Good Morning

Thanks for popping by Needing Accountability, Polly Wolly Doodle and Pennywise

Well we're back (obviously) we all had a fabulous time. The weather was sooo hot and we've all come home relaxed and ready for the return to work tomorrow and school next week for the kids.

Lake Garda was stunning and the week was spent by having boat rides, a day trip to Venice, swimming, eating, drinking wine and a trip up into the Dolomites. The trip to the Dolomites has made me even more determined that we will be going ski-ing again next winter. Time to start saving I think!

I managed to find an internet cafe whilst we were away and logged on to find out my exam results and I've passed :j:j so I'm now fully qualified. A few decisions to make now - do I stick it out where I am, look for a new job or start up my own small business?
I'm just relieved that I don't have to retake any exams and can enjoy my evenings. Who knows I might become more sociable now :rotfl:

So its back to reality now and theres a huge pile of washing to be done which in turn will produce a mountain of ironing :(

I did a grocery shop at Mr S yesterday (overspent by £10) but the freezers are now jampacked so will just do a top up shop once a week.

I think thats about it from me for now xx

I also forgot to add that DH topped up my handbag fund so I am now the very proud owner of a beautiful doggy bag.

I bought the perfume as well and its been used very sparingly as it smells so beautiful and I certainly can't afford to buy any more in a hurry.
  • CONGRATULATIONS MRS CHOO ACCA :j:j:j

Fabby news, well done, it might take a while for it to sink in but ohhh the world of accounting is your oyster!

    Very happy for you.

    Good Morning

Thank you to everyone for your lovely best wishes. I'm thrilled to bits and all the hard work was definitely worth it. It is still sinking in but it's back to reality today with the return to work.

My desk looks manageable but there are a few silly emails that have appeared since I've been away so will have to deal with them at some point today.

Last night was spent ironing and it looks like tonight will probably be spent doing the same unless the ironing fairy makes an appearance!

I've made BLT sandwiches for my lunch and have also brought a nectarine and banana in so will try and resist buying any chocolate at lunchtime.

Not much else to report, I need to look at the September budget but I know its going to be a tight month due to the holiday so I've not been brave enough yet.

Better go and do some work, catch up soon xxx
  • Congratulations on passing your exams, glad you had a fantastic holiday.
  • I was in Debenhams yesterday looking at doggy bags (sounds bad !) and thought of you and was wondering how you'd got on.

So I was really thrilled to see your news, both the exams and the bag :D Congratulations!! :j

and nice of your hubby to top the bag fund up. My ex hubs bought me some lovely earrings and a necklace (after I saw them and suggested they'd make a nice present :D) and I still have them. We aren't together any more but I still treasure them - in fact I will dig them out and start wearing them again as they were a copy of the Chanel stars from a few years ago, and now stars are back in again this winter :rotfl:

I'm so glad you had a good holiday, you have worked so hard for everything you've achieved this year.

I'm mulling on the job front, so will be interested to hear what your thoughts are as you make your decision :) Good luck and congratulations once again!

    Good Morning

Thank you Pennywise and Lionhearted Girl for your congratulations. Lionheartedgirl - I did debate whether I should have called the bag a doogy bag, but it has got a dog on and it is a bag. Although my mind conjures up images of a waiter using it to put the last slice of pizza in or some other leftovers in which wouldn't do it alot of good.

I'm putting alot of thought into the job front, I do really fancy starting up my own small business from home but its just the leap of faith into doing it. Maybe I could just build it up slowly and then take the plunge. Theres also the cost implication - website, stationery etc. The alternative is to stay where I am and put up with the Boss, at least he's taught me how to handle difficult people.

So on to today - not much going on. I'm going to make cannelloni for dinner tonight, the pork mince has been taken out to defrost so I'll make it when I get in from work.

Still a pile of ironing to do so I'll crack on with that again tonight. We only took 2 suitcases away but there is still some much ironing. All the ironing had been done before we went away so its a mystery where its all come from.

Hopefully a SSD today as I need some new pegs and DD was moaning that she wanted rice krispies this morning instead of porridge, cornflakes, toast or branflakes. I've had my pegs since we got married so 15 years on and they haven't done too badly. I very much doubt that any new ones will last 15 years!

I made a beef wrap for my lunch today so will have that soon and then have a wander round town (hopefully avoiding spending any money)

Have a good day everyone xxx
