Duh!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mummytogirls, Pennywise, DFW and Needingaccountability

Thank you for popping by, we had a great time but of course spent more money than anticipated but thats always the case, at least most of it had been saved up. Feeding 4 of us away from home for 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners, snacks and drinks is never cheap. Breakfast in the hotel was £12.50 per adult and kids ate free but that would still have been £75 so we went to McDs one morning and then got breakfast materials from Mr Ts. Lunches were usually a selection from Mr T and dinners were had in Strada, Pizza Hut and a chinese in London.

We all loved Legoland and have been soaked, made dizzy, spun and swung on the rides. Poor DH was made to go on the swinging boat at least 6 times, once was enough for me!

London was fun but way too busy for me! I love visiting the big smoke but I'm always glad to get back to our little back water up North.

So now its back to the usual routine, theres a pile of washing with my name on it.

I'm just about to start cooking a roast dinner, ridiculous considering its the 7th August, we should be having a BBQ in the scorching sun but instead its meat, roast potatoes, veggies and gravy! I'm even back in my jeans, socks and long sleeve tops.

Back to work tomorrow, hopefully my desk won't look as though a nuclear bomb has gone off. At least theres only 2 weeks back at work before we go to Italy :j

I've set the wheels in motion setting up my new Paypal account so should be able to claim my survey money this week. Every penny will be going towards the handbag fund and my professional subscription which I have forgotten to budget for :o

Quidco paid £17.39 into my account which was for my car insurance from February so I've added this to the handbag fund. I'm still waiting for about another £80 to be paid so this will all help towards the various funds.

Better go and start on dinner.

Hope everyones having a lovely weekend xxx

Hi Choo, glad you all had a lovely time in London. Im the same its all too busy for me and love getting back to Yorkshire :D! One day was enough for me a few weeks back when I went for work!

Hope you manage to get through the washing, hopefully the weather will brighten up so you can peg out.

    Good Afternoon

Mummytogirls - I agree, its always lovely to get back to Yorkshire and the washing did dry - quite quickly in fact as it was breezy x

Well as predicted, my desk looks as though there has been a paper explosion so just finishing getting it back into some sort of order before I start tackling what needs to be done.

Not much to report today, I really didn't want to get up and come back to work this morning but needs must. TBH I'm glad to get back so I don't have to listen to my little angels arguing again!

Popped out at lunchtime and had a wander into Boots for the mandatory spray of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle - asked the lady on the counter how much it was - £86
Will definitely be waiting until we go through Duty Free at the airport, I've had a quick count up of my moneybox and theres £45 tucked away and I have another £30 in the bank that belongs to me so that should cover it. I'm also in need of some new foundation as well but that will have to wait until I've saved up again.

Had a quick look at school trousers for DS at lunchtime and everything is getting picked over so I might take him out tonight to the shopping centre down the road from us to buy some. Hopefully DH will be in early from work and he can look after DD as the thought of taking them both school uniform shopping is :eek::eek::eek:

OMG I can feel the need for a glass of wine already just thinking about it :rotfl:

Avoided the Monsoon sale again, I'm just not drawn to the shops anymore like I used to be :T

Right enough waffling from me, will catch up on everyones diaries later on this evening xxx

    Good Morning

Just having a quick catch up before I tackle my workload.

I needed to get my hair dried and straightened this morning but because I couldn't manage to get my lazy butt out of bed immediately without using the snooze button 3 times I ended up running late (nothing new there), hence I didn't have time for breakfast. The bananas were too over-ripe so I've had to buy a soggy roll on the way into the office, not good for the money saving or my waistline! I did manage to make some sandwiches for lunch though so not a total disaster.
Tomorrow when I go for my fruit, veg, milk and bread I'll be buying a few cereal bars to have as a backup for such mornngs.

The kids were a nightmare to get out of the house this morning - faffing around, not finding shoes, cleaning teeth, games consoles etc but still managed time to watch tv!

I've taken some chicken out of the freezer tonight so will decide when I get home what we'll be having, theres some fresh basil to use up so I might make a tomato, chicken and basil sauce with pasta.

    My list for lunchtime

    1) Buy mothballs
    2) Buy DS school trousers - tried some on last night in M&S but not the right colour so will try the one in town
    3) Boots - quick squirt of Chanel
    4) Boots - buy some skincare products
    5) Return a dress to RI as it has a small rip at the top (didn't notice when I bought it)
    6) Buy a birthday card for friend
    7) Do some banking for work

Tonight theres a pile of ironing to be done so I shall be tackling that after dinner tonight, whilst watching tv.

Hope everyone has a lovely day
    Choo xx

Evening Choo, have you tried Funky Pigeon for cards? Theres usually an offer code hanging around. If you need a referral you know where I am :D!!
Ive got personalised cards from there before, one card I got was a friends name spelt out in smarties and I think with a half price code it was about 89p with free delivery. Cant go wrong with that!

Can you get DS's trousers delivered to your local store to save on delivery costs? I did think with DD's coat from M n S.

    Enjoy your ironing  xx
