    Good Evening

Just totted my grocery spending up for July and I've failed again - £369.16 I was only supposed to be spending £280 :o:mad::o:mad:

Hopefully the new method will prove to be more successful, it can't be any worse.

Anyway - onwards and upwards :j August will be better

I have just reconciled my spreadsheets back to the bank and its going to be a tight August, not much surplus about due to booking the holiday and hall spruce up.
Hopefully in September we should be able to start saving for our next house project. I've got the bug now and want the house sorting!

Right I'm off to confess my sins (again) on the Grocery challenge thread :o

Ooopsss on the overspend Choo !! Nevermind its done with now and hopefully the new method will now work. Im going to add my grocery spend to my signature I think too.

Awww I bet the hallway looks lovely. Im desperate to do my living room as the carpet is naff (it was what the builders put down and its all thin and rubbish!). But I refuse until the kids are old enough not to be spilling, throwing up on carpets etc!! Plus they are partial to drawing on the walls still.. DD1 is by far the worst and even writes her name !! So il probably do that when im debt free by which point the kids will be about 7 and 5!

Heyho, have a nice day xx

    Good Evening

Mummy and Abba - there seems to be a common theme in your postings - lounges. We did ours about 3 years ago but the emulsion and gloss could do with going over again. Another thing to add to the list! Mummy - my DD has wrote her name on a wall in the house, when I asked her why she'd done it I got the answer it wasn't me! Girls! They're a force to be reckoned with. I totally get where you're coming from waiting until their older to give it a sort out.

The weather has been lovely here so we took a picnic to the local NT property and parked ourselves in a lovely spot all afternoon. The kids had a great run round and there were some children from school there so they all had a lovely play together. :j

Nothing happening moneywise, DH is just sorting his expenses out so I'll be able to pay his credit card off next week.

A pile of ironing is waiting for me tonight :(

    AFSHD - 4 :j
  • I'm itching to get the paint refreshed in my livingroom/stairs landing (all in one). I bought (got ) the paint months ago with my nectar points while it was on sale in Homebase but it's just a case of pinning hubby down to do it. He's talking about the garden this weekend though which is something that never happens so not going to discourage that thought :rotfl:

In his defence immediately I got the paint his mother was given a bungalow which was in a terrible state, I don't know how social housing can allocate them in such a condition, and he's spent months decorating that so kind of not in the mood now I guess.

    Your picnic sounds lovely :D

    Hi Needingaccountability

    Thanks for posting x
I agree with the point of never discouraging a DH to do a job even though it may not be the one you want doing first. My DH is exactly the same, he will do a job but not immediately and he's never as enthusiastic as me to get anything done.
Your DH sounds as though he's probably done enough painting for now, it is a disgrace though that he's had to do all the work in the first place. It makes me wonder why we pay all that tax.

Thank you the picnic was lovely, hopefully the weather will last as it makes entertaining the kids so much easier!

    Take care xx

    Good Morning :)

Its a grey start here so will get the washing out quickly and hopefully it will dry without the need to use the TD.

A busy day is planned for today I am going to blitz the kitchen, clear out the clutter from in there and clean out the cupboards. Hopefully there may be a few items for Ebay.

I got all the ironing done last night, the basket is clear so when todays washing has dried I'll do it immediately and then it won't mount up and become unmanagable.

DH finished his expenses and we have plenty to clear his credit card bill in full without the need to top it up ourselves :j

Just requested an Amazon voucher from Tol**a so thats £25 in the DS kindle fund.

Still toying with the new diary idea, I'm trawling the internet for inspirational quotes to use as a title and a few have taken my fancy so just waiting for the mood to strike and I'll be starting a new one!

DS has just had a massive strop - is it too early for a glass of wine? :rotfl: Wine on cornflakes sounds very appealing right now!

Better go and get myself sorted for the day xxx

Hi Choo, sounds like you had a lovely time at the NT yesterday. I keep hearing an advert on the radio about it and I always think of you!!!

Did you get all your bits and bobs done today? Hope DS's mood didnt carry on into the day.

Re DD1 shes horrendous for drawing on things, DD2 has never really bothered. When I ask her why shes done that I get the shrugged shoulders and I dont know! Little swines!
Re the living room DH would like to pull out our fireplace and replace it with a 50 inch TV :mad:! I really like the fireplace but weve come to the agreement that he does that if I get choice of a corner group!! He agreed :D. Obviously its going to be a very expensive do so it aint going to be happening any time soon :rotfl:!!

Hope you have a great weekend x

    Good Evening

Mummy - awww thats really sweet thinking about me everytime you hear the NT advert on the radio. I got all the kitchen cupboards cleaned out but only found 1 thing for ebay but put some other stuff in the charity bag.
No DS had another massive strop at lunchtime, he's not very good at sharing and despite our best efforts he still acts like a 2 year old at times, especially with his sister! Today the big argument was over a pen that he'd lent DD for her to use on her games console. She was using it and he snatched it off her saying he might want to use it later, he was going to be out all afternoon but he still wanted it back.
He can be very selfish and unreasonable at times, we've tried all sorts with him but he's a complete ar*e at times! Kids - what do you do with them?

A 50" tv is my DH dream, however he can manage to watch enough tv as it is without enticing him with an even bigger tv!

My ironing is all upto date:j I'll put it all away in the morning after its aired overnight.

I've given the upstairs and lounge a quick hoover round tonight so I'll just give the bathrooms and kitchen a quick clean in the morning so that should do for this weekend.

I'm just about to settle down with a nice glass of wine, chocolate and a dvd once DS has gone to bed.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xxx

    Good Morning

Sorry I've not posted over the last week, its amazing how the lure of using the internet is less appealing when its your own time and not work time. As a consequence I've managed to get lots at home done, I'll be going back to work for a rest! :rotfl:

Well I did a load of washing yesterday and it got drenched, so its been re-washed and put in the TD. The weathers looking abit dubious today so might have to use the TD again

The kids have been amazing this holiday, because they're abit older now they just go and play out with friends from around the village and I don't see them for hours! They obviously turn up at mealtimes or pop back for ice lollies.

Well I had a disagreement with DH yesterday, he's getting a bee in his bonnet now about decorating the rest of the house. I pointed out that to do the next stage of our plan we need to save up again.

DH then had a strop saying well that means we can't do anything else on the house until at least next February, I am fine with this and I've accepted that the work is going to take time but he spoke to me as though I was a child who wouldn't accept what was been said. Argggh men!!

Anyway its been left, we do need to save up for the next stage as it involves our bathroom and bedroom so its not going to be cheap! He kept saying to me "as long as you know its got to be saved for" err hello I'm the one who does the finances and planning!!!

What does he think I do when I'm working on the spreadsheets?

Right onto nicer things - I still need to sort paypal out as I have a survey site waiting to pay me but have no way of getting the payment yet so thats a job for this morning.

I'm also 150 points from payout on another site so hopefully will get invited to a few of their surveys soon so I can claim my £30 cheque which will be going to the handbag fund.

This mornings plan is to have a quick tidy round, pack a couple of bags and then we're heading to Windsor for our mini break to London and Legoland :j

    DS is soooo excited :j

Right showertime and breakfast, catch up in a few days xxx
