I also take cash when shopping, i get my budget out for the month and put it in an envelope, that way i know i can't overspend when going shopping! Sometimes i get a huge shop at the beginning of the month to stock up on stuff but the rest is then split for the rest of the month. this has worked for me anyways
I'm also trying to budget for a trip to the lake district for 10 days :eek: in August and even with entertainment passes that i've already paid for i can see it costing ALOT!!!
I love being in control of my finances now too it's a great feeling and i realised something the other day...I wasn't afraid to get the post from the door (usually left it piling up for days) and i will even open it straight away now as I know there are no nasty surprises awaiting me :rotfl:

Hi Choo, yay to you budgetted for lego land :T you sound very much in control.
 to DH's suits and shirts, why do they have to be so flipping expensive!
Glad your ok and seem happyxx

Hi DFW and Mummytogirls
DFW - cash is the best way forward for me.
Mummytogirls - suits are expensive and he was very firmly steered away from the expensive shirt shop the other day and pointed in the direction of M&S (not sure he was really listening though)
I have had a productive evening - Legoland tickets and restaraunt vouchers have been requested from clubcard so I have £2 of vouchers leftTrain tickets for our day trip to London have been purchased - £61.50, this also includes tube tickets so I'm happy with that :T
Just seen that no-one has won the Euromillions - £136 million rollover, might just buy a ticket on Friday :rotfl:
I really wouldn't want all that - just enough to pay off the mortgage, sort family out, set the kids up for life and I'd be happy!0 -
Morning Choo, glad your getting sorted for you trip away. Also glad to see youve still got change out of your Tesco vouchers
!!
Re the Euromillions, if you do buy a ticket and win, please remember your DFW friends on here :rotfl:!!!
Have a nice day xxMummytogirls x0 -

Thanks Mummytogirls
Of course I'll remember all my DFW friends, I think £136 million could probably sort out a few of our problems :rotfl:
I'm abit gutted this morning about the train tickets, could have gone through Top Cashback  - still alot to learn
Have a great day xx0 -
Good Afternoon
Not much to report - had a quick tidy round at home, cleaned out the fridge, put a light coloured wash on and now sat enjoying a cup of Earl Grey and malt loaf. Hmmm will somebody stop me from getting a 3rd slice with butter on - I'm going to be turning into a Heffalump :rotfl:
I have joined rdchicks weightloss thread - I don't hold out much hope for me but I'll give it a try.
I need to do more exercise and stop stuffing my face with crisps, biscuits, chocolate, cake, ice cream and wine . I cook and eat healthy lunches and dinners - its just snacking and lack of exercise thats my downfall
The cat has just been told off for biting my ankle, I don't know what comes over him sometimes
Better go and start some dinner - its goats cheese, roasted pepper and butternut squash risotto tonight :j0 -
