    Good Morning

The house is getting a good clean today :T I need to get sorted before we go away next weekend so thought I'd best get on with it rather than procrastinating!

DD has gone horseriding with Grandma, DS is at football practice and DH is out playing golf so I have a nice, quiet house.

The washing machine is on overtime again and the washing line is full.

It won't be a NSD as I need to pop out and buy some wine for tonight and a few bottles for next weekend so might try Mr As and see if there are any 3 for £10 offers on.

Its steak, new potatoes and salad tonight :j I might also buy a tub of cream and some mushrooms to make a creamy, mushroomy and pepper sauce to accompany the steak.

Think thats about it from me xxx
  • Ohhh Choo that sounds delicious;), Dh is doing is usual HM pizza and wedges as i type and he bought roast beef to cook for tomorrow, it's been ages since we've had a roast!

Hope you're fitting in some studying too? Have you done any mocks?

    xx

Thanks Polly, your homemade pizza sounds lovely and roast beef is my favourite. I have got loads of past exam papers so just plodding through those.

I went to Mr As and bought some wine, it was on special offer - 3 for £10. One red and two white so will have the red tonight with our steak. There was a reduced fruit tart so that will do DH and I for desert tonight.

After reading Pennywises' posting this morning about toasted teacakes, its all I've thought about all day so I've had to buy some for my elevenses in the morning :) Mmmm I don't know if they will last until the morning, might just try one for supper tonight :o

The house is now lovely and tidy, all the washing is done and now just need to do the ironing but that can wait until tomorrow.

Have a good evening all xx

    Good Morning

    Where has the week gone?

Its finances time again this morning, I need to sort out the house insurance, rejig the spreadsheet for our wedding weekend away, change the Eon DD to take their change into account, reconcile my budget spreadsheet back to the bank balance and arrange for our bills money to be transferred across on payday.

Theres a load of washing still waiting to go out so will put that out in a minute, hopefully it won't get blown away.

Will visit a NT property this afternoon and then for dinner tonight its seabass, new potatoes and some veggies. DS has requested the seabass as he had it on holiday last year and loved it and he's getting quite picky with food now so thought I'd indulge him today! Not a very budget dinner but nice for a treat.

I also have some rhubarb waiting to be used up so I might just stew it and freeze it for another day as we still have some fruit tart left from last night which can be used for dinner tonight.

Think thats about it from me, need a cup of coffee xx

Sorry DFW, cooking is a passion of mine, I've lost my mojo for it over the last few months but slowly getting my enthusiasm back for it.

No money has been taken yet for the tickets but theres time yet, its probably a good thing that it hasn't been taken yet as the account isn't looking too healthy.

The washing survived yesterday but our cat hates the wind, so he's not too impressed about having to go out xx

    Good Morning

I managed to renew the house insurance yesterday, we're still with M&S but I've taken out a new policy so its cost £760 for the year so managed to shave about £40 off their renewal quote. I went through Topcashback and also got £45 cashback so the result wasn't too shabby :j M&S also don't charge anything extra for paying monthly so I've opted to pay over 12 months instead of a lump sum so this will help the cashflow!

    Think thats about it xx
