    Good Morning

Well it looks as though it could pour down at any second, the sky is black!

Not much to report, my headache has finally cleared but not before I'd had some really strong painkillers. Feel much brighter today :j

Busy day planned today, need to go shopping as I didn't feel up to it yesterday, give the house a quick tidy (its not going to fall down if its not immaculate) and get ready for tomorrow.

I don't think I'll get a chance to post again as DS has got a football awards ceremony tonight.

Just waiting for DH to get paid and eagerly waiting to see if he's been paid any bonus.

Hope everyone has a fabby weekend and that the rain holds off.

    Choo xxx
  • Morning choo, weather here is pants as well and surprise surprise i've had to put tumble dryer on, so sick of rain.

Glad the headaches gone and your feeling brighter, have a good weekend.

    Good Morning

Well we got back late last night from our weekend away to the Lakes and we had a fantastic time. It was so nice catching up with our friends and just having a break away from home. We overspent over the weekend but we can make the difference up somewhere within the budget. The kids enjoyed catching up with my friends children as they are all of a similar age.
Our friends got a rambling old farmhouse so it was just great for the kids to have a good run round, let off some steam and play with the menagerie of animals that they have.

Its back to reality today, work, washing and studying.

    Catch up soon x
  • Glad you had a fab weekend, the lakes are beautiful, i'm originally from that way have family in Ambleside, moved to Lancashire as could never afford to live there, too many tourists buying second homes, ha ho thats life.

Never mind about the overspend, like you said you will claw it back from somewhere, i find that a break away often gives me that kick up the bum and motivates me to save/make/not spend.

    Have a good day.

Joined the June grocery challenge - £280

I have tried to get grocery shopping lower but can't seem to. Need to try harder once everything else has calmed down and I can focus on running my home more efficiently again.
