Good Afternoon
Another busy day, just ploughing through my workload. No money has been taken yet for the Olympics tickets.
Well I managed to produce quite a good pack up today from seemingly nothing, tomorrow might be a struggle as the fridge really is looking scant now but I'm sticking to not going shopping.
Need to meal plan tonight and then shop tomorrow at Mr S with my voucher, DH has a few items listed on ebay so any profits will be going towards DS bike.
Think thats about it from me, not really worth posting xx0 -
evening choogirl, I am well impressed with your resolve!
I'm very distracted at the mo too, no exam stress excuse for me though (thank goodness. ohhhh.....don't mean that to sound mean really!)
glad you got a nice bath in last night and hope the cat enjoyed the cuddles0 -
Hi Choo,
I was going to apply for the tickets to the olympics but to be honest I just wanted them because it would be memorable....not because I actually EVER watch it on t.v or am remotely interested in the sports ...so i thought someone more deserving should get them lol
Since starting my journey I rarely do top up shops anymore and so pleased with myself i worked out i was probably saving over a hundred quid a month as when i would go in for bread & milk I would come out with a new top or more sweets for kids etc and the bread would end up costing £25 rather than 80p haha!

Hi DFW
I'm not really interested in sport but we thought it was an opportunity of a lifetime for the kids so applied, we might not even get any tickets but we've tried.
Your top up shops sound like mine, I was terrible for going to the shop for milk, bread etc and then buyng new clothes for the kids as well (which they didn't even need!)
I've probably shaved £100 a month off the grocery shopping as well, we never starve as theres always plenty of food for main meals but making pack ups becomes more of a challenge towards the end of the week x0 -

Thanks Mummytogirls
No we never starve wthout those extra yoghurts or crisps. It saves time as well which is another bonus xx0 -
Good Morning
Well I am gutted that Gavin has been fired from The Apprentice, I thought he was a contender to winMy money is now on Jim the irish guy :j
DS was messing about with my ipod in the car this morning on the way to school and he played loads of old songs that I haven't listened to for ages, so I'm now sat in the office listening to them. Its loads of dancey tunes so its quite good for motivation.
I really need to get myself properly organised as well on a morning as making the pack ups has slipped back to the morning.
I end up rushing around, getting flustered and then the kids pick up on the vibes and we all end up leaving the house all stressed and normally bickering with each other. I don't want us all to start the day feeling stressed.
I need to go shopping later, hopefully I won't spend anymore than £40 as the grocery budget has gone over again this month. I might even sign upto the grocery challenge next month, maybe if I'm named and shamed it might keep me on track.
Catch up later xx0 -
Back from Mr S and spent £48, so not too bad. The fridge looks healthier and a decent pack up can be made so I feel happier.
I need to give the downstairs a quick blitz now and that will have to do until Saturday morning, going to make a shepherds pie for tea and then more studying tonight
Work was busy as per usual today, feeling abit overwhelmed by it all now and the amount of work that I have to do. I also feel like I've let someone down in the office today who I have a tremendous amount of respect for because I haven't finished something off yet. I haven't been slacking off though its just the sheer volume of work, demanding boss, holidays and lack of hours to get everything done.
Thats about it from me xxx0 -
Good Morning
Well my brain is frazzled and my head is all jumbled up thinking about what needs to be done over the next 3 and a half weeks until D day
I need to plan out where the kids are going over the half term holidays whilst I go to work, what time I'm going to need off work for the exams and remind my boss of this fact. I need to do a list and a realistic time plan.
I've just had a lovely email from a friend inviting us to go and stay with them over the bank holiday weekend. They live in the Lake District so we're really looking forward to that. Now I'm stressing about getting ready for that and who's going to look after the cat etc. I'm never happy.
DH joked this morning, what am I going to stress over when we're debt free and have finished my exams? I'll think of something was my reply.
Right better go and start on my books0
