    Good Afternoon

Its been a really busy day so no chance of posting until now :(

I've received our gas and electric bill which is dated back from 3rd November 2010 and its averaging as £16.50 per week for gas and £14.20 for electric, so not too bad but we are in debit by £91.38, hey ho might as well be in debt to someone else as well!
DD and DS need educating into turning lights off when they're not in the room and not leaving the tv talking away to itself as well as not putting the light on during the day when the sun is shining

The company have also very kindly informed me that they will be increasing our DD by £12 a month so need to tweak the spreadsheets again!

On a lovely, more positive note DH and I have received a wedding invitation to attend the evening reception for a work colleague of DH so that will be fun. It will mean an overnight stay though so need to work through the budget spreadsheet to accomodate a hotel stay, drinks and a present.

Tonight its meal planning and watching The Apprentice!

    Choo xx

It was a long time to go without a bill but I've been like a woman possessed going round turning off lights and not having the heating blasting out so thought we'd be ok and luckily we have been.

They also take £106 a month of us by DD and TBH I'm quite laidback about sorting things out now if they arise especially after facing £13k of debt.

    Good Evening

Nothing much to report today, did my shopping at Aldx and then popped into Mr S and picked up any bits that I wasn't able to buy. Aldx have annoyed me for 2 weeks running now, last week I picked up 2 packets of mince with 30% off reduction stickers and the cashier didn't reduce them and then this week I've been charged twice for my courgettes (59P) Annoyingly this week I checked to make sure that my reductions had gone through but missed the duplicate charge. Then to top it all the cashier told me off for packing my bags as I was going through the checkout instead of moving to the side to pack them as normal, now I only did that because there was no-one queing behind me otherwise I would have just packed after I'd paid.
I got a £4 voucher off a £40 shop at Mr S, so will use that next week instead of going to Aldx. I will shop in luxury next week with the ability to pack my bags at the till!

DH's company released their trading figures today and they've done really well so DH will be receiving a bonus :T Just need to wait and see now how much it will be. It would be lovely if we could shave a few months from the DFD but will have to wait and see. DH has also said that if theres enough we might be able to have a couple of nights away to Legoland and stay in a hotel and not camp :T
Now I don't mind camping but if theres a chance of a hotel stay I'm afraid all my back to nature standards, its great for kids spiel goes right out of the window :rotfl:I'm more of a glamper than camper, I like my home comforts and wellies aren't my first choice of stylish footwear.

Its the usual studying tonight, I'm really bored with it all now. I want it over with so I can get on with my life. Socialising is a rare thing at the moment!
  • great news on the bonus!

I too am a glamper not a camper I'm afraid, although I had some very happy racing days kipping in the back of vans! Mostly because there were hot showers in close proximity with plenty of hot water and space because not many lassies needed them! plus could always find a friend with a caravan for somewhere to plug my straighteners in :D Fun days but no thanks to under canvas!!

hope you can use at least some of the money towards something lovely and fun even if you do use some of it towards debt repayments :)

    Hi Lionheartedgirl

I can't be without my hair straighteners either, I have palpatations just thinking about what if they break!
We have camped before and I don't mind it too much but I am a home comforts person and the thought of a nice comfy hotel wins everytime.
I'm hoping that we can use some of the money for something lovely rather than just watching it all get swallowed up into the debt hole.
I'm in need of a change of scenery now and TBH the kids would probably benefit from it as well. I might become nice Mum again instead of ratty, tired and stressed Mum :(

    Good afternoon

Just a quick post but not much to report today. The weather can't make its mind up what its going to do so I've put the washing out and hopefully it will dry in between the small showers that keep happening.

Had a quick whizz round the downstairs this morning and popped to Mr As for some bits that I forgot yesterday  I was really good and only bought what I needed, had a quick chat with the lovely checkout assistant who has a look of Freddie Flintoff and then it was home to study AGAIN!!

So peeved with it all now, stressed, tired and just want the exams over with now.

    Back to the books :(:(:(
