Just got in from work and my M&S voucher has arrived so that can be stashed away for when the kids need something new :T

DH has got an excellent rating so fingers crossed for a decent payrise and hopefully a bonus if the company has performed well - the figures will be released next week :j so its wait and see for the moment.

My heads spinning again - too much thinking going on and its making my brain hurt.

Right now its time to tidy out the understairs cupboard and then think about some dinner. The kids have bickered constantly since they got home so I've sent them out to play, hopefully I'll get half an hours worth of peace.

Managed a NSD as well :j

Studying again tonight - catch up soon xxx

    Good Afternoon

The understairs cupboard is now tidy again, all winter coats and boots have been put away and a pile of scarves, hats and gloves are now washed and drying out in the garden. It was profitable as well - I found £1 so thats been put into my moneybox.

Its been a HSD - I had to put £40 of petrol in my car, all budgetted for and I've kept £10 back - will try and manage with £40 and then put the £10 in my moneybox if it remains unspent at the end of the month.

Tonight its bacon and butternut squash risotto for dinner and then I need to meal plan and do a shopping list as well.

Hopefully I'll get a decent nights sleep tonight as DH was tossing and turning all night and then ruffling the duvet, I kept telling him off which made him even more wound up and neither of us managed to get alot of sleep, it was also really cold last night and I've packed the winter duvet away so we had our summer duvet, throw and fleecy throw on the bed and were still cold!!

Just done another 3 surveys for Globaltest and I'm so close to payout - which will be going to the handbag fund.

Thats about it from me xx

    Good Morning

The showery rain has reached us so I'm going to have to admit defeat and put the washing into the tumble dryer  Can't be :money:all the time!

    Todays list is as follows

Check Global Test for surveys - only need 60p until I reach payout
Investigate why the utility room fridge is abit pongy
    Washing and drying clothes
    Blitz the house
    Blitz the ironing pile

I need to get on top of all the housework as I need to spend as much time as possible revising over the next few weeks - 1 topic is just not sinking in and its starting to worry me now.

Tomorrow I'm taking DD to see Mamma Mia with MIL so its going to be a HSD with train fares, lunch, sweets, drinks etc but I've raided my moneybox and theres £60 stashed away so that will soften the blow and TBH its what I've been saving up for and DDs really looking forward to it. I can't wait either, all that singing and dancing and all to Abba music :rotfl:

Hopefully today should be a NSD as yesterday I spent £35 in Aldx and £34 in Mr As but the fridge and cupboards are looking alot healthier. Mr A xmas card has got £15 on it now so that will all help at Christmas.

Right I'm off to tackle the list, catch up later xxx

Afternoon Choo, popping up for my little catch up with you. I seem to have missed all these posts you have done recently!!

Re the home insurance we received our renewal through with MrS which had gone through the flipping roof . I went through quidco with M and S and got it about £100 cheaper and £45 through quidco, nice one :T!! Hope you find a bargain too.

Ive got washing in the tumble drier too .

Re the dress I think if you really want it you should get it. Youve got the money in your clothes allowance and im sure the £3 borrowed from the grocery budget wouldnt be a problem. Prehaps you could not get your saving stamps things for 3 weeks?!

    Have a great weekend seeing Mamma Mia :D x x x

    Good Evening

Hi Mummytogirls :hello:thanks for stopping by, I thought no-one liked me anymore :(:rotfl:

Our insurance at the moment is with M&S so I'm going to do a search tonight and see if I can get a better deal.
I am going to have another look at the dresses and wait until payday at the end of May. The weathers so changeable at the moment I'd probably buy it and then it would sit in my wardrobe waiting for warm weather.

Busy day here, the house has been blitzed and all the washing has been done. I only had to put one load in the dryer as the weather managed to stay warm and dry.
I investigated the stinky fridge and it was some milk that had been spilt and gone sour, so its been washed out again. The fridge is now 15 years old and on its last legs but it needs to keep going until next year, luckily its only a spare fridge.

Won't get a chance to post tomorrow as its Mamma Mia day - wahoo xxx
  • Hi Choogirl :) hope you don't mind me popping in to say hi! I always see you on other diaries and have only just seen yours.... I'm very impressed that you've managed to pay off so much of your debt in such a small time, well done! :T!!

And don't be so hard on yourself, we can't be chirpy all the time, esp considering the circumstances. There are some days when I walk past shops that I used to love spending the CC in and feel down for days about it! Never mind, you sound like you will be debt free soon enough and able to go out and spend, spend, spend (once you have saved, saved, saved -of course :rotfl:)

    Have a great evening

    Hi DFW321

I don't mind you popping in to say hi at all - the more the merrier, I'm a lurker on your diary as well.

Its hard to stay on the straight and narrow but thats how we've managed to pay off alot since September but its also hard to stay motivated and not get distracted by shops. I do love clothes and shoes though and have my £20 a month clothes budget which I try and save up and then splurge it when theres something that I really love instead of just buying something for the sake of it and sticking it on the credit card. I also cut my cards up as well and only use my debit card or cash now, no temptation.

You're so right - it will be save, save, save when we're debtfree, not go back to silly spending and definitely no more credit cards for me.

    Have a great night xx
