Well done Choogirl, you must be so pleased with yourself right now, I would be too.
Re the kids growing ive just said to DH DD1 is in desperate need of some new clothes, shes got about 3 tops that fit her at the mo!!

Thanks Mummytogirls, it does feel good now we just need rid of Barclaycards £7k balance and its all done :j0 -
Good Morning
Its going to be a busy one today, the kids break up this afternoon so I need to get myself organised.
1) Do all the washing and ironing
2) Blitz our bedroom and en suite
3) Sort out the summer clothes that were stashed away from last year and see what still fits
4) Sort out the winter clothes, scarves and hats - decide if they will do for next year or charity bag/ebay them
Right that should keep me out of mischief for the day - have a good day all xx0 -
Just a quick update before I go and pick my little darlings up from school.
Managed to sort out last years summer clothes and its not looking too bad, I think we might get another years wear out of them and maybe just buy one or two new things for them :T
Bedroom blitz is done, although the en-suite still needs doing but I was been over ambitious thinking that I could get both done in the same day. Its been very profitable as well as I've found 60p lurking in the bedroom and £1 in the washing machine so its all been tucked away into my moneybox (finders keepers and all that!) - cleaners perogative.
Also lurking behind the bed were all DHs hankies that have fallen behind the bedso they're all going to need a damn good wash.
Right I'm off to pick up my LOs and then start to tackle the ironing mountain, it looks like it could be a long haul marathon for that job!0 -

Hope youve had a restful day today xMummytogirls x0 -
Good Evening
Abba and Mummytogirls - I totally agree with ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww to the hankies, maybe I shared a little too much info (sorry) :rotfl::o
Today has been spent giving the house a quick clean and a tidy up in the garden so nothing too exciting but its been so lovely to get out in the sunshine.
Tomorrow we're going to visit the garden centre and hopefully get some bargains to replace all the plants that we lost in the winter. Gardening is not my favourite pastime but I do enjoy sitting in the garden with a nice glass of wine!0 -
Good Evening
I love this weather, I wish it could last all summer
We managed to pick up some bargain plants and they've all been planted out so hopefully we can manage to keep them alive this time!
As it was such a lovely day we've had our first bbq of the year and I even managed to enjoy a glass of wine in the garden, the kids played on the trampoline and the cat had a good root round in the garden so we've all had a very nice day :T
I have 3 days at work this week and then I'm off until the Tuesday after Bank Holiday Monday, DH is off as well so we need to find some MSE activities to do. The kids are going off to the holiday activites at school for 2 days and then a friend is having them for the 3rd day so its all worked out nicely.
Time to make the pack ups and get ready for tomorrow xx0 -
Evening Choogirl, your Sunday sounds perfect all round
. Pity the weather didnt last though boooooo!!!
Enjoy your time off work, have you managed to think about any MSE activities yet? xxMummytogirls x0 -
Good Morning
Mummytogirls - just thinking about MSE activities at the moment, might ask the outlaws if I can borrow their National trust cards and hopefully if the weathers nice we can make use of those. Other than that it will be a £1 visit to the cinema with treats from the supermarket, maybe dinner out using our clubcard vouchers, picnic in the park etc.
Not much to report this morning, just today and tomorrow at work and then a nice long break with the kids and DH :j
I'm looking after my friends kids on Thursday in return for her having mine whilst I'm at work so I should be able to get a few jobs done at home whilst they're playing.
I analysed our bank account and reconciled the budget spreadsheet back to it last night, its not looking too bad - no ad-hoc spending going on which is helping things along nicely.
The survey payout is still stuck at £9.75  it needs to be £10 before I can order a voucher.
I'm going to have a walk round town at lunchtime and see if I can find a cheapish summer coat for DD and new pjs for the pair of them, other than this all is quiet in the Choo household.
Theres the mandatory pile of ironing and the oven needs a good clean but then theres always a "fun" job to be done.
I've also scared myself this morning - theres only 9 weeks to go until I take my final exam  so the books will be out again tonight!
Its all non stop partying in my house :rotfl:0 -
Good Morning
Its a cool but sunny start to the day and I'm glad that I haven't put my winter coat away yet.
The kids are looking forward to us all spending some time together and so am I, with studying so hard over the past few years I haven't spent as much time with them as I would like to so it will be nice to have quality time.
When I was driving into work this morning I drove past a field with sheep and lambs and the lambs looked so cute following their mums around or sitting in big groups together just enjoying the sun.
Its a busy day at work today I need to get upto date before my holiday so it will probably be a work through lunch situation which is probably a good thing as I walked past one of my favourite shops today and there was a gorgeous dress in the window just crying out buy me Choogirl :rotfl:
I can't afford it this month as I'm desperate for some new jeans, so my clothing allowance needs to be spent on those. Maybe I could save next months allowance and raid my piggybank to buy it or just wait and see if its reduced in the sale and then buy it.
Mmmm maybe I'll wait until the sale and then buy it and then I can buy something else as well with the money that I've saved :j0
