Good Afternoon
Its lovely and warm here, its so lovely to see the sun and the daffodils in the garden are flowering - everything is looking good.
3 more days until payday and bonus payment, the damned HSBC card will be gone by the end of the week and then Barclaycard will be starting to get a good kicking :j
Nothing much to report, just had a manic day at the office with the boss in his usual flappy, every must be done this moment mood but at least it livens the place up abit. Hes not in the office tomorrow so abit of peace and quiet can be enjoyed.
DH has just announced that he will be away from home for at least 3 nights a week starting from tomorrow and lasting for about 6 weeks! Great!
Its a nice, easy tea tonight, beef out of the slow cooker, jacket potatoes and abit of leftover mash from last nights tea. I've got some peas in the freezer so it couldn't be any easier.
Right I need to catch up with some work emails and then feed my hungry babies. Tonight will be a study night, nearly there though thank goodness.
Take care xx0 -

How true, I never thought of that x0 -
Hello
Its a lovely, sunny and warm day again. I wish it could be like this all summer, I'm not even bothered about red hot weather just warm would do me
Not too much to report, did my shopping yesterday and came under budget and also managed to buy a few extra bits to tide us over the 5 week month in April.
I bought a big pack of mince so that will make 2 chilis and a portion of meatballs, a few extra loaves, extra milk, extra catfood, thai curry paste, nann bread and ham that was on offer in Mr A for £1! So I figure with that lot and the shepherds pie that I made last week we should be well on the way to covering the extra week easily. Why did I not think of these ideas pre LBM?
Its payday tomorrow whoopee which also means its bonus day, which in turn means I will be saying bye bye to HSBC credit card :T
I've bought a nice bottle of prosecco for tomorrow night to celebrate this, can't wait. I love prosecco.
Mr A card has £11 on so building up very nicely.
Roll on exams, I can then concentrate on ebaying some items and give the balances a good hammering! I can also read a book, sit in the garden, think of debt busting ideas, the list goes on!
I really want to go away for the weekend as well after I've finished my exams so need to save some money up for that and get something booked. At the moment we're fancying Edinburgh, need to do some more surveys!
Right thats enough from me I'm going to have a wander round town at lunchtime, my shoes need re-heeling so not a NSD but needs must.
Hope everyone has a good afternoon xx0 -
its lovely here too....well done on coming under budget you're doing great x x x
must be a wonderful feeling knowing you're getting rid of that card xNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
Hi Abba
It somehow feels liberating coming under budget and not feeling that our standard of living has changed. Its a whole new way of thinking, and I love it.
I will not be shopping in Mr Ts again, their customer service was appalling yesterday!
It does feel good knowing that one more creditor will be gone tomorrow, one more to go and we're free :j0 -
Good Morning
Its been a very productive Friday so far - I have
1) Done some surveys
2) 2 loads of washing are out on the line :money:
3) A quick swish and swipe top and bottom - will do until tomorrow when I can have a proper clean
I have also been to Mr S as we had run out of spread and I needed some shampoo as I have finally depleted my stock
There are some lovely summer dresses in Mr S for DD so I might take her back after to school to choose one because if I choose it it will be wrong, 8 year old girls like to pick their own!
There was also a mega bargain - 3 energy light saving bulbs for 30p!! They were 29p each but if you bought 3 it was 30p, it was rude not to buy any.
I bought some Maltesers rabbits for the kids as an afterschool treat and I have just enjoyed the third one that myseriously hopped into my basket :rotfl:
I did resist buying the extremely cute, individual fluted tartlet tins - 4 for £5.25, I know I will relent and buy them at some point but at the moment I don't have time for fancy cooking and entertaining friends so they'd just be bought and sit in a cupboard.
When my exams are over I can entertain again but until then, I'm being abit of a hermit :rotfl:
DH is home tonight so he will be bringing a bag of dirty laundry home, the washing basket is empty at the moment.
Its now a day of study until school pick up time and then I will tackle the ironing mountain, make some dinner, bake for a fund raiser and then finally relax with a nice glass of prosecco whiilst watching Benidorm :T
Have a great day all xx0 -
I am very happy, relieved and also doing some mental calculations at the moment. The good news is the boiler has just passed its annual inspection, the bad news is it will definitely need replacing in a years time
I am relieved as now I can pay my bonus straight to HSBC credit card but now also thinking I'll need £2k to replace it next year, however if we get these debts paid off this year we'll be able to save up for it by the time it needs replacing. Why does something always need doing and a high value item at that? Hopefully it will last the year and not have any problems before then. Anyway no point worrying about it, I'll think about it when it happens.
