Good Evening
Well I am officially kn***ered! I think everythings catching up with me and I'm just exhausted. I feel as though I could sleep and sleep and still wake up just as tired.
Tonight is going to be spent studying the joys of limited company accounts, followed by meal planning and then a nice bath. Shameless is on later but I don't know whether I'll be able to keep my eyes open.
I'm also going out with a couple of friends next week and I'm having the usual dilemma of what to wear already
I've still got some vouchers left and 2 months of clothes allowance in the pot so I might brave going to have a look at the shops but as my diet hasn't been going too well I don't know if I can face the trauma again, I've only just recovered from the last humiliation:rotfl:
Right back to the books xxx0 -
Hi Choogirl
What a busy bee you have been!
Well done on the revised DFD, go for it, anything that cuts the amount of money to others is a good thing.
Hope you can find something nice to wear for your night out. Go easy on yourself, you sound like you could do with a small treat.

HI choo, go and buy yourself a new top or somethng, i think everyone would agree that you deserve it.
Sounds like you could do with a couple of early nights hun, remember that your health is important.0 -
Hi Dolly and Poundwise
Thanks for the lovely words, I am going to have a wander round the shops on Friday and see if I can treat myself to something. I fancy a new top and maybe a nice necklace to go with it. I've got a few social events coming up and TBH I could do with a few new things so will definitely have a look. I think its time to become less obsessive and focus on paying the £478 per month to achieve our DFD March 2012, anything else paid off is a bonus but lifes for living at the end of the day, I've got no credit cards so if I don't have the money I can't have it!!
And yes Pennywise I will have a few early nights, they are much needed
Its been a spend day today, grocery shopping - overspent by £2 but hey ho. I put another £1 on Mr A card so thats building up nicely.
I had to put some petrol in my car - trying to manage with £40 until 25/03/11 which is payday. I've got a budget of £50 so I'm trying not to spend the other £10 on petrol and to save it instead into my treat pot.
I also bought DD some leggings to go with her new top that she bought the other day with her birthday money so quite a spendy day has been had. Tomorrow should be a NSD :j
Right I need to go and unpack my shopping now, why can't someone come round and do it for us?0 -
Good Morning
What a windy night, I nearly got blown out of bed and for once it wasn't DHs doing :rotfl:
Another day, another dollar. I'm going to have a wander round the shops at lunchtime and see if anything catches my eye.
Other than that its a year end to work through, ironing after work and then try and sort out another clients year end filing, hopefully I can get this done tonight and then I can just do the day to day stuff for them - plod along with them for another year.
Right best go and get brekkie, make the darned pack ups as I was too busy last night xxx0 -
Good Evening
We've just had spag bol for tea - nothing unusual or wild about that I hear you say, however it was made from the leftover meatballs that we had last week. Both kids turned their noses up at them last week because DH made them differently to me (I couldn't taste anything different) but the kids could. I defrosted them this morning, added another tin of chopped toms, added loads of celery and mushrooms and reheated it, served it with a sprinkle of basil and parmesan and hey presto the little monkeys gobbled it down.
Kids eh, who knows what goes on in their little heads, bless them!!
Had a wander round the shops but couldn't see anything so will have a proper look tomorrow and hopefully purchase something.
Had a good day at work, the boss was in so the peace was shattered and my workload doubles when he's in the office.
The wind is sending the cat batty, he's charging round the garden as fast as he can with his ears pinned back. None of my cats have ever liked wind I think it must mess around with their senses.
Right filing awaits me0 -
Good Morning
Well what a busy girl I've been this morning. I have hung my washing out, dropped the kids off at school and been into town.
I have bought myself a new top from Dotty Ps, I never thought that I would still be shopping in there at 30+ but its a lovely top.
I was Mrs Smug as well again when the shop assistant asked me if I would like a store card and get 10% off, my reply again - No thank you I don't do store cards :rotfl:The store assistant wouldn't give me 10% off for being a student apparantly I have the wrong kind of student card, the mean witch!!
I have also bought a necklace but the MSE way, they were £15 in the shop but on the way home I popped into Mr A and bought an identical one for £5 :j Whilst in Mr As I have purchased some birthday presents as it seems party season is upon us once more. I managed to get 2 presents, wrapping and cards for £10 and they don't look like small gifts so I am well happy with that!
I also had a quick pop into M & S* and bought my Mums Mothers Day present in the half price sale. I have also been to Mr S and stumbled across the half price rail, picked 2 cardigans up at half price, thought do I really need these or am I just buying them because they're a bargain so I put them back :j
I still have my Oas*s and Mons99n vouchers intact so I can spend them next month when I have more clothing allowance. I need a new pair of jeans and I'd like a new casual top as well as I've got a few casual social events cropping up over the next few months so I'd like something new for those.
The shopping monster almost reared its head, its so easy to slip back into the old way of thinking but I didn't so a huge pat on the back for me :T
The buzz of spending money is so hard to control, now I see why I avoid the shops as much as possible it would be so easy to slip back into my old habits. However the thrill of knowing that I've only spent what I have is a much bigger rush than spending someone elses money.
When I got home my M & 8S voucher had arrived along with my cheque from the survey site so the voucher has been stashed away and the cheque will be banked on Monday and a transfer made to the HSBC credit card :j:j
Right back to reality, its cleaning timeI've bought some stardrops as I keep reading rave reviews about them so we will see xx

hi choogirl, what a busy week! but glad you have been able to get yourself something lovely, and so great that you were able to remain in control despite being confronted by lovely things.
I still go in DPs on a regular basis, and Topshop and all the others. I occasionally find nice stuff in there but most of the time my best success rate is in OasisI have a long held store card there, always pay it off in full, but it is good for getting discounts and offers from time to time. I wondered about cutting it up but am pretty disciplined with it as I know the rate is so high on it, plus the credit limit is very low compared to my other cards.
I failed miserably last week so will be trying to think of a new approach as I so love going shopping, even if it is just to look. Once I start buying, it's difficult to stop so think I may just resort to cash/debit card and leave credit card at home
I have star drops too - they are great on my kitchen floor, but you do get quite a lot of foamand I find the smell is quite strong, you really don't need much
hope you can get a bit of feet up time over the weekend0 -
Morning choogirl, wow you were busy yesterday!! I really like DP's for clothes and they arent badly priced IMO! Woohoo to refusing the storecard :T. Sounds like you did very well with your bargain hunting.
Haha to the kids eating the bolognaise but not the meatballs. They are funny little things arent they!!
Hope you have a great night out x xMummytogirls x0 -
Morning choo, i'm 30+ and still love dotty p's, buy a lot of my work clothes from there.0
