Thanks Mummytogirls, I'm just having a wobbly day. I'm such an impatient person and just want it gone.
Your comment about your DD throwing herself about on the landing made me laugh, I can just imagine it. My DS used to throw himself on the floor when he was having a paddy as well, he probably still would if he thought that he could get away with it.
At least the kids are back at school today so I'm not having to entertain them!0 -
Good Evening
I am feeling awful, I've got a headache and I can feel a sore throat starting!!
I've decided that I've also become addicted to these boards so I'm going to have to limit the time spent to on an evening when I have done all my chores and studying.
If anyone spots me lurking through the day feel free to give me a rollicking!!
Tomorrow is a new month and the positive thoughts are going to be returning, negative thoughts aren't doing me any good and are sapping my energy.
Its time for a hot chocolate now and maybe a piece of homemade flapjack :j0 -
Good Evening
Happy March, I woke up this morning to birds singing! It was lovely.
The weather has been warm and sunny here so a fantastic start to the new month.
I found a £2 coin whilst getting the hoover out of the cupboard, I don't know who it belonged to but finders keepers and all that :jI am going to pay it off the HSBC card, any money left over from the grocery shop is also going to the HSBC card and not the family treat fund as originally planned.
On Thursday I'm going to look at the Travelodge sale and see whats available for May half term and the summer holidays. If we manage to get something we will take our own breakfast cereal, cheap toaster and use clubcard vouchers for evening meals. Lunches will be pack ups from the local supermarket.
The windowcleaner did call and I'm now £7 poorer, I need to add factor it into my budget for next month. DS passport will also need renewing before we go ski-ing next year so I need to factor that into my budget planning as well. We will be going ski-ing next year, thats my motivator for clearing this blip up.
March Targets
Study as much as possible
Bake more
Have as many NSDs as possible - 1st one achieved today
Pay £2000 off the debt cards at the end of March
Lose 2lbs of blubber
Thats enough from me xx0 -
Evening Choogirl,
You sound much more positive tonight thats better.
Dont you think the weather plays a big part in your mood? I know it certainly does with me. Today has been bright and sunny and ive felt happy and the kids have even behaved. I even just had a thin tracksuit type top on to pick DD up from school it was that nice.
The travelodge sounds good, let me know if you find any bargains! x xMummytogirls x0 -
hi choogirl, glad you are sounding a bit more chipper
just a thought but I think when I was reading hypno's diary last year, she had taken her children on holiday and they had stayed at a Travelodge - I think if you pay for an adult breakfast, one under 16 (possibly 2) can eat free. They are help yourself breakfasts so that way you might not need to buy lunch
(admittedly not the healthiest brekkies if you go for the full monty but if you are on holiday why not)

Hi Mummytogirls and little_h, thanks I am feeling so much better.
It was just a number of factors that unfortunately all happened at once, anyway I have reflected on life and you know what its amazing and I'm a lucky girl.
Onwards and upwards xx0 -
Good for you Choogirl, have a great day

Grocery shopping is done, £59 spent on groceries and £1 onto Mr A card so I now have £8 on there :j
I am withdrawing £60 cash before I go and keeping track as I go round the supermarket what I'm spending. Every penny overspend = less to the debt card next month.
Spending cash really focuses the mind xx0 -
