3 and a half hours later and the ironing is all done.................... I'm kn******d and I've also got a blister forming on my hand from holding the iron for too long :rotfl:

At least its all done and I won't have to do anymore over the weekend :T

I'm going to bake some cakes now for the fundraiser tomorrow and then finally sit down and watch Benidorm, love it!

    Good Morning

Sorry I've not posted for a few days but I have been so busy studying. Well we are finally rid of the HSBC card :j just need to make sure that the repayment goes through and then the card can be cancelled.

It feels good knowing that there is just one creditor left and that we've repaid over 44% of our debt since September 2010 :T We just need to stay focused as it would be so easy to get complacent and loose focus of the finishing line.

It was a busy weekend and we managed to get the garden tidied up, unfortunately we've lost loads of plants over the winter so we're going to have to replace some as the garden looks bare in places. That will be a job for over Easter if the weather is nice.

I am also going to be opening up a new savings account, we already have one but this new one is going to be used for ski-ing holiday saving and allocating some money there that I've earmarked for a hefty debt repayment at the end of the summer.

I'm going to the hairdressers this afternoon for the full works - highlights, roots and cut so its going to be a HSD, however its all budgetted for and its the one vice that I can't give up.

Right enough waffling from me, have a good day all xxx

    hi choogirl,

what a lovely post, how positive it all sounds! (except the studying bahhhh! but not long to go I hope!) Congratulations on the HSBC card - hopefully won't be long before your bonuses can be used on nicer stuff! :j

enjoy the hairdressers - you have done so well keeping both yourself and OH on track, so if its budgeted then all is well.

I am hoping to get mine done on Saturday, it's getting a bit woolly again :) I am doing home colouring now which is working well, found a great Casting shade at the weekend so will be sticking to that. My hairdressers always leave me with stains round the forehead no matter who does it, so I have given up getting it coloured there!

How much more studying do you have to go?

    Hi little_h

Thanks for popping by. I am feeling positive at the moment the nights are lighter and abit of sun certainly helps.
OH has surprised me by staying on track I don't think he dare do anything but, its certainly made the battle a little bit easier.

The exams will be finished by the end of June and then I'll be fully qualified its been a long, difficult trek but will be so worth it.

I've tried home colouring before as well but my hairs really strong and the home colour didn't cover all the grey so I'm afraid it has to be super strength colourant for me.

    Take care xx

The horrible rain has disappeared and the sun has just started to shine :D

Today I have opened up a nice shiney new savings account, this is going to be used to save up for next winters ski-ing holiday and I'm also diverting some money there each month from the other savings account that we pay all our money into for car expenses etc.

Unfortunately I'm also diverting our summer holiday savings money into there as well to make a hefty debt repayment with at the end of the summer. I'm abit reluctant to use all this bill paying money for debt repayments on a monthly basis for a few reasons

    1) The boiler might go pop and need replacing
    2) We might just decide that we really can't miss out on some super duper bargain holiday that pops up (although I would sooner repay the debts this year)

Thats about it from me xx

    Hello :hello:

I've just had an empty of my piggybank and count up and I've got £40 in there :j I'm amazed as all I've done is save my spare change and any money leftover from nights out etc since January and its mounted up nicely and best of all - its all for me!:j Anyway DH has now decided that he's going to save all his change up so he wants a money box now, I did suggest a gravy container with a slit in the lid but he wasn't too enthusiastic so I need to get him a cheap moneybox. Needless to say my moneybox is hidden away from his sticky fingers :rotfl:

I've done my shopping today and overspent by £7 but I did buy toilet rolls and a few extra meals for the extra long April so not concerned, I can just cut back next week.

Right I'm off to make 2 lasagnas, do some washing, a quick swish and swipe and then hit the books tonight.

I'm taking DD out for a very non MSE day soon so we will be spending it on train fares, lunch and other little treats for our day out.
I'm truly shocked out how it all adds up and how much money I've wasted in the past

Yes OH is as sick as a pig, but its made him want to save all his change as well so its not a bad thing x
